tell her no, liz said so! Was planning on going to a hairdresser to give it a good go and try and cut it in a way that means it won't make it go straight, lol.. i know it will happen if it's going to, but what are the chances? Just don't do what my friends daughter did and cut a complete pigtail off herself. But... I think it would be a good idea. It will feel lighter and probably be easier to wash/brush as well. How about a trim straight across the bottom, at the bottom of the shoulder blades (when dry)? (Cut it at waist length when wet?) That way it's still pretty but it is definitely "cut". And it's also long enough to grow back.

If you end up giving her a straight cut yourself, cut at the centre first, with your fingers holding like the hairdressers do. And go out from there. That will help keep it straight and equal on each side. my daughter a couple of years ago wanted to cut her hair to her shoulders - it broke my heart but really she was old enough to know what she wanted - more older than Paris...

Having said that when Brooke was 6 I cut off all her baby curls and took a good 5 in off - wow what a difference - we always had fights to brush her hair so to get the comb/brush thru first pop was so quick and more managable. I do look at her old long hair and sigh though it looked i loved it.

What to do? Fair enough, it's coming up to summer and i know really she does need it done, But i have no idea what to get done.

I was thinking just a tidy up and a little trim - enough to cut all her baby curls off the bottom

I have never cut her hair, never trimmed never had a little snip off anywhere, AT ALL, EVER.

What have other's done? And how much do we cut off, i mean when it's wet it now goes down to just under where her bottom meets her leg. When dry it curls up to approx waist-length.
