He loves breast milk and would feed forever if allowed!!!He's 8 months and hasn't realy grown to love solids yet<img border="0" src="https://www.ohbaby.co.nz/forum/smileys/smiley5.gif" border="0"> <br />Of course all my friends babies are eating a whole tin or more at each meal, plus snacks. Where as I'm lucky if he will get through 2 table spoons usually only 1 at each meal. Plunket push breast milk but there has got to be a way to encourage him to eat. He has started waking about 2 -4 times at night to feed <img border="0" src="https://www.ohbaby.co.nz/forum/smileys/smiley19.gif" border="0"> becauze he's hungry!!! I'm offering solids first and milk last but it's not working any ideas?????<span style="font-size:10px"><br /><br />Edited by Milo1</span>]]>

I'm sure if he still could he would live on milk alone. Try it if you want with just a little bit and see if it goes down.</P>]]>

I agree with the others' suggestions, wait an hour or so, then offer the solids.<br />I wouldn't worry too much as long as bubs is getting lots of milk at this stage. My daughter wasn't interested in solids much until she hit about 9 months!]]>

Otherwise leave a time space in between. So milky drink and then play and then solids and then little play and then sleep... or similar routine.]]>

Should I just give the solids first?  I tried it before and he had a great deal of solids, and breastmilk afterwards... is it okay as long as he's getting lots of breastmilk?]]>
