areghh 1 more week of school holidays

survived 1 week and I still have all my hair.

Took the kids to the park a few mornings last week ,we walked there around 2km walk from our place also been walking in the mornings.

Megan has had a growth spurt she had been ar 17kgs for quite a while and is now 18.6kgs and also grown 8cms since her birthday.

doing well here despite me having a cold.
Megan is at morning kindy 5 mornings a week 8:10-12:15..Ive been going for walks after I have dropped her off. one good thing is now that when I put Lucas down for his sleep in the afternoon I dont have to wake him (unlesss I have an appointment that afternoon).

Lucas isnt talking yet..not too worried as he understands you and does make sounds just no actual words and he likes to hold on thing and woah what a tantrum he throws if you try to take it off him.

one of Megan's kindy friends starts morning kindy next term which is good cause I think they are missing each other. she is 20 days older than Megan, yet Megan is a good 3 inches taller and anotehr 2kgs heavier, she also has a younger brother...23 month age gap ..so basically the same age gap as M and L.

Hi girls!!

i popped in here to see what your ticker was up to Nic! ooooh getting close now! I see that no-one else is crazy enough to join you with number 3.

I wrote a big post in here a few months ago and lost it, and it's taken this long for me to get back in.

I hope you are all well. We haven't been too badly off for winter bugs as yet - especially with the girls being at daycare now.

I started back at work (full-time) at the end of April, and the girls have settled into daycare way better than I expected. A new teacher asked me today if N is ever not cheerful - that was great to hear, and obviously means she is very happy there. They said she just potters about happily all day, eats lots and goes to sleep without fuss. So I'm really happy about that. A is loving it too - doesn't want to leave most of the time and is very co-operative in the mornings as she is keen to go. Seems to be learning a lot too.

Work for me is going fine - I've ended up taking over a really big project after everyone else involved resigned. There seems to be an expectation that I will get it done within the same timeframes...

That's about it - take care girls, and I hope you are still popping in here occassionally and actually see this post!

well I have decided I want to go back to work bu tjsut part time and at nights (so I dont ahve to pay 80% of my wages on childcare) probably 3...going to apply at countdown and hopefully do 7pm -12am.

the extra money will help and also be nice to talk to adults without children being the main focus.

I got my scan apt yesterday, so only 5 weeks to wait!! hehe, I'm really quite excited now!!

Ev, I am prepared for a super fast labour. I am thinking seriously about having a home birth this time. I could of easily with Soph her labour was so fast and easy. I will discuss it more with my midwife closer to the time. Otherwise my mum told me the other day I better get to the hospital as soon as anything starts happening!! I think she is worried baby will be born on the side of the road!! lol

Both you ladies (Porce and Jas) have done a brilliant job with the weight loss! Porce you are a freak - managing to lose that much weight (I'm sure it didn't happen without hard work)

Yep, I started getting them at 7weeks with Spence! At about 9weeks with Carys' pregnancy so both of them were crazy fast for getting BH. My sister got very early BH in her pregnancies too, not dis-similar to mine and we both had very fast labours - our longest each was 3hrs :) Soph was a quick labour huh? I'm picking this one will be super-duper fast Nic - you'll have to be prepared Cute that Soph wants a 'pinky'!

Looking forward to hearing what you're having ... its hard to believe that it will only be 6wks before you can find out

Hello my beautiful girls!!! Sorry I haven't been on for ages. Thansk Ev for saying Hi for me!! I haven't been on OB at all - not just ignoring you girls or anything Just been busy.

Well Miss S is still teeny compared to all your big girls, she is only 14kgs (like Willow!), but she was never going to be big with her little shortie parents!!

Both my ratbags are good. Alex is very ready for school, I can't wait till he starts. Hopefully it will stop some of the sibling fighting that has began!! He starts in the 2nd Feb!!

Baby are I are doing well. I'm now 14 weeks, and finally feel pregnant. I was really lucky, and had no morning sickness at all, infact I hardly felt pregnant until very recently. I had to get extra blood tests to make sure everything was ok. I now have a lil belly that everyone is starting to notice (we still haven't made it public that we are having abother baby), and have started having BH already Ev didn't you get them really early with Spence as well?

The kids are really excited about the baby which is lovely. Alex wants a boy and Soph wants 'a pink one'. We are considering finding out babies sex so we can prepare A & S (especially S if it is a boy). And I have to admit that shopping for a certain sex does sound appealing too!! hehe

Not much else to report. Business is busy, and takes up most of my spare time. Just enjoying this beautiful summer weather at the moment, and loving having dh home for a few days this week. Nice to do things as a family!!

Megan was 18 months there



so Lucas is a giant lol. Happy New Year girls We got back last night from holiday - had been away since Christmas Eve, had a fab time, first Christmas with family, then further north to stay with friends, and then went camping with them on a farm. Was awesome. Kids pretty exhausted while away, but seem fine today. Good times!

Sorry to hear there were so many bugs for you all over the holiday season! N spewed a few times on Xmas eve, but was fine the next day. She cut 2 molars while away...bad timing!

A and N were weighed at plunket on the 20th Dec - A is 101cm and 18kgs - I buy her size 5 and 6 clothes. She still has some size 2 stuff that fits from last summer as well, so she wears a huge range. N is 9.8kgs and 78cms - she is 1kg lighter and 3cms shorter than A at the same age.

Well Ruby is just a fatso lol she was 19kg but lost a kilo or two with that tummy bug. So did AJ She is making up for it now, all she does is ask for food!!!

Carys sounds the same size as Megan Jas and she is in 3s and 4s. What weight is Megan now? Carys is about 15kg - she has turned into my skinny wee bean

Master Spencer is ploughing ahead - in sizes 9mths and 1yr depending on the brand ... crazy, since he doesn't even look all that massive Maybe we got some strange, small batches of clothing

Ruby is a size 4 in some stuff 5 in others. She's over a metre tall now (not surprising with daddy being 6 foot). yay for new shoes....when I did cleanign at skycity I bought a pair of shoes which cost me $220 but far out they sure mad ea difference with me being on my feet for 8 hours a day.

I didn't go to work at all last week, I had the bug after the kids had it Luckily didn't spew (Ruby did and luckily AJ did just once) but we all had the other end. Nasty!!!

Went to Dress Smart today, my feet are killing me in my sneakers at work, they have lost all spring in them .... got a pair of New Balance $220 for $80 And DH paid for them too hehe!!! we had a pretty quiet xmas just us 4 at home,we had pikelets for our xmas lunch :)

the last few nights we havent gotten Megan up to go to the toilet and she has woken up with a dry bed :)

I reckon the attitude must be a second baby with an older sister Deb - I've heard Spencer's winging and grizzling from someone before

Went to the Doc for Carys' followup about her no2s issues and she has now been diagnosed with Toddler Diarrhea .. yes, apparently that is an actual illness!! There is no guarantee of how long she will be like it (its been 3yrs .. what's another 3? ) but its not likely that she has any allergy or intolerance to anything causing the issue. If it doesn't clear up by 6!!!!! she will have further testing Have been told not to expect her out of night nappies for years yet

She has some kinda spewy bug, spewed at grandmas and tonight she power chucked big time twice on carpet before we could get her in kitchen on tiles and twice on the tiles. Tried out the new Vax though, shampooed the carpet and since I was shampooing up spew I did all the carpet (in lounge, dining, hall and bits we walk on lots in AJ's room) and the couches. I am SO glad we bought it, we rug doctored when we moved in, AJ was getting black feet and knees crawling around despite vacuuming and ewwwww the clear washing powerhead was caked in mud on the inside after shampooing and the water looked like milo!!! Amazing what crap is in your carpet

Just sold change table on TM, $50 buy now but nope people decided $1 no reserve .... it sold for $143 ... idiots hahah but good for us!!! DH has changed jobs, there are a few clashes with my shifts for this month but oh well (kids have been dropped off at Grandma's today by daddy and I'll pick them up on Thurs) .... house is too quiet without them, we miss them already!

Ruby is loving preschool, she tells us to bog off basically as soon as she gets there! That's great news about your DH's new job Jas - hope the change works well for you all.

DH was offered a job with a competitor business 2mths ago. Was told by the owner that he would be contacted when they had a job description prepared but they haven't come back to us - slack! Has really got DH's bosses worried that they are going to lose him though so they are prepared to throw some more money his way - hope he hears from someone soon so he can get a pay rise either way

Will be interested to hear how you get on with Lucas' followup.

Spence is already picking up on the tanties habits Deb He's been throwing a few hissies lately when he's had something taken from him, so ... here we go!!

Christmas is pretty much sorted here. Just gotta get something little for mum and dad and that's me all done - woohoo! Our insurance company (AMI) was awesome Deb - they said that they do a professional carpet clean for any stained carpets and if it all comes clean then they don't charge any excess! I was very surprised. I wish my DP would get a new job - it still looks like he will be made redundant in the new year -it is ridiculous how long it has been dragging on. It would be great if he actually did get redundancy pay out, but then he would still need a new job (or I could instead!).

Good to hear Nicky is going well thanks Ev. Thank goodness for insurance! I thought I might be on the phone to the insurance about our carpet this morning when I discovered N with a red stamp in hand (and mouth), covered in ink, and she had crawled it the entire length of the house.... most of it seems to have come out thankfully.

Miss C will soon pass those bad habits onto Master S Ev! N already snatches things and says Nooooooo when anyone comes near anything she wants.....

still not sure what is up wikth Lucas going to a follow up appointment just waiting for a letter from the hospital.

Megan starts kindy in February and has her last day of daycare thursday week and must remember to pick her up early that day. hopefully I dont pull my hair out for the 6 or so weeks that she is at home lol.

Seb starts a new job January 17th base pay is slightly higher although not as much overtimes but they do pay well when they do do overtime. he was goign to take leave in Feb next year but that wont be happening now..bonus is he will get 6 weeks leave when he finishes...although it is likely we will need that too see us through till hist first pay with new job which wont be till Feb 15th.

How is Lucas now Jas, how did the follow up go? Congrats on 6yr anniversary

We are having Carys tested for bum troubles too She doesn't ever do formed poo and she has a sore bum everyday from all the runny, acidic poop all in her nappy all night. She's also had 2 UTIs in the past couple of months so they really want to get onto it now to prevent continued infection. They are going to test for Coeliacs and wheat intolerance to begin with.

Great to hear all the big kids are enjoying preschool. Carys has moved up into the kindy centre at daycare and is learning lots of bad habits from the bigger kids There are definite clicks amongst all the girls, its scary to see that at only 3 and 4yrs old!

We are busy preparing the house for xmas as we will have 15 people here for lunch and a couple staying for a few nights. Hard slog - there's A LOT to be done. We are only going to scratch at the surface really, but at least we will have the lounge/dining/kitchen finished and beautiful :) We resprayed out wood burner last week and ruined the carpet in the lounge :( We didn't get any direct spray on it but the spray mist settled on the carpet later and has left discoloration where items had been on top of the carpet - it looks hilarious (especially where you can make out exact items like shoes etc) .. sooooo not good! So insurance will be puting new carpet in for us in January - guttered that we didn't have matching carpet cover now, lucky all the carpet in the house is pretty new and none of it actually meets so it won't be obvious. Lucky that since the carpet was discontinued some time ago and we will have to have a totally different carpet in the lounge to the bedrooms

his poos are soften and formed so I dont think he is constipated as once it starts coming out it really starts coming out.

going back in 2 weeks for a follow up.

when I took his his nappy for the Paed to have a look at his bottom their was blood on the top of his foreskin ..Paed suggested using something like sudocreme. hopefully it heals up soon.

got a call from kindy today said they arent taking in any more children this year but wil be in touch with me in dec to figure out when she will start next year :)

wahh Megan has an ear infection...she woke about 9pm last night complaining of a sore ear so took her to after hours drs and yup dr had a look and inside her ear is quite red :( so got anti bs for that.

Seb has a job interview today...he kind of had one just to see what he is like as person (as will be customer based) and well they must have liked him so now seeing what his technical skills are like.

Hi girls,

quick update.... I went for my dating scan this morning, and was a week out (ov'd cd28!!!!) so only 6.5 weeks. That's fine, I always knew my dates could change. It does mean though, that my hcg levels last week were HIGH for 5 & 5.5 weeks!!!! Only 1 baby on u/s today - but maybe there is one hiding after all????? lol, very unlikely, I'm sure they would have seen 2 if there was 2 in there!!


Ev, Spence and baby Nicky could end up being birthday buddies - my EDD is now 5 july!!! I have been a zombie, this week I am sure I worked what was against my contract ... day, day off, night, day off, day!!! ARRGGGGH!!!!
This morning I was so tired I was in tears Job isn't exactly wonderful either, have talked to other new girls and they are finding it a bit unfriendly too - I haven't ever worked anywhere where nurses were anything but friendly after all we are supposed to be the caring type!!! I am hoping it will get better or I will go to my old boss and ask for a job or transfer somewhere like PICU - I am used to 6 patients etc and they have an average of 3 each and run around all busy and I find it bit boring lol!

AJ got his first tooth last week and it's his birthday on Monday. Having a family dinner, yet to work out what to cook, will have to look through my WW cookbooks!

Thanks girls. Yep, feels good to have survived the first year with 2!

We're having a big combined party for the girls at the end of the month, so yesterday I just made some (bad) cupcakes and we had a couple of people over for morning tea. She got a few prezzies in the mail etc.

I agree Porce - it's lovely to see the kiddies interacting now. Cute that AJ has just got his first tooth -he will still look a bit more like your little bubba (N has 8!)

Eeek it's nearly N's bithday! I haven't organised anything for her actual bday and her party isn't until the end of this month. I know she won't know, but it's still a bit stink! DP can't even take the day off as he is having days off later in the week to go up to Metallica.

6th tooth! AJ has NONE I can see them all under his gums waiting to pop through, about 4 top ones and his 2 bottom ones (tho the bottom ones are actually white). He's like his sister tho he is being a bit slower than her really. I think he will also skip crawling in favour of walking whenever that happens.

Ruby came back from ILs today, so cute, they said she talked about AJ heaps. you have done well Porce I put on 400 grams this week which consiering the week I had isnt too bad ended up missing the meeting last week as Lucas was in hospital.

I suspect he has/had a UTI as his urine was really dark did a sample but havent heard back Dr prescribe ABs. He only recently started eating solids again.

He is getting his 6th tooth.

Lucas is a bit better today didnt eat much but wasnt too worried he still had plenty of breastfeeds. he went down last night around 6:30pm woke at 4am (or was it 5am) for a feed...changed his nappy and he went back to bed and slept till 11am, when Seb came and woke me up he then went backto bed around 12ish woke at 2pm and back to bed at 3pm and I got him at 5:30pm and he was back in bed at 6:30pm.

Arrrghhhh 2 weeks full time nearly killed me!!!! Though got signed off on some stuff so I don't have to run after people asking them to do things. I think I still have a few weeks following someone around but I got my own patient on Friday (thank god driving me crazy I have been a nurse for 11 years and a paeds one for 9!!!) and I will have some from now on though under supervision.

arhh I realised it is only about 9 weeks till the kids birthdays arghhh it is creeping up wa too fast.

just spent the night in hospital with Lucas he had blood in his happy dr thought it might be UTI...had ultrasounds and blood tests and they came back clear so who knows what is going on.

Thanks Ladies, umm yeah didn't plan on number 3!!
I was very happy with William and Azalea (William is 5 and a half and Azalea turns 3 at the end of November).I am embarassed to admit but my husband and I thought using condoms was a good idea ...it must have been an expired condomn.I am very excited now though to be having another girl.I hope she arrives on her due date or only a few days after.She is due January 27. A's dental appt was good - she has beautiful teeth apparently She got a little cotton wool butterfly - that took me back! Slightly concerning moment when the nurse made A gag on the mirror and then did it 2 more times! - thought A might heave, but thankfully not!

I cant remember if I have mentioned or not but Lucas is now pulling himself up to stand ...just abou anything now and now has 5 teeth.

Megan had (suspected) gastro so been keeping her home was the last day of mainly music for the term but she still had diarrhea yesterday so wanted to keep her home till at least 24 hours after her last runny poo..thank goodness she came right today and her last one was around 2pm yesterday so yay she can return to daycare on thursday.

Last week was hideous Spencer's reflux went WILD and he got down to taking 40mls every hour and a half - very time consuming! DH went away for a couple of days and I was a mess by the time he arrived home on Friday - and wotayaknow .... Spence turned a corner as soon as DH was back He has slept through each night since and is taking more than 100mls per feed for the first time ever!!
