It's pretty much just as he seems ready. I started Hannah at 2yrs but it took 8mos before we could go out without taking a change. We have a thread stickied in Toddler Times, something about toilet training, i think its about 8 pages... Lots of helpful stuff in there. I have just finished TT Hannah and by the looks of your ticker they are about the same age. I didnt bother starting until she was showing signs like telling me if she had a yuck nappy and when she needed to go.

It is a bit messy for the first few weeks and they dont have much control (like need to go right this instant!) but its probably taken us about 6 weeks and now she goes consistently on the toilet and can hold on for a few minutes until we can find one if we're out.
