I change Brenna when she's standing most of the time and it doesn't take long at all. Yay he has stopped fighting the nappy change.  FIngers crossed he doesnt start a new stage of battling when he has his nappy changed.

We battled this for over a year, and it wasn't until Kahn turned 2 and understood time out, that he began to stop! it took 2 days of time out every time he threw a nappy changing hissing fit and he got the message FINALLY. Gina's getting quite wriggly too at nappy change and sometimes you'd think we are torturing the poor girl not getting her clean
Surely she can appreciate a clean bum??? No helpful ideas sorry. Oh my gosh! I thought I was the only one who had a slightly mental child that hated his nappy being changed! yay for you all! And he's really funny when it's a number 2, he goes and stands in the corner of the lounge where it's hard to reach him! Haven't had the time to start potty training yet - but I should really start now and get it over and done with! kels Rhyley is the same. I have tried pinning him down with my legs. or using my arms accross his belly (which I find the most effective but not fool proof).

I also try the give him something to play with or interest (even if its the nappy cream bottle) it bides me time.

There is the sing a song or be stupid times. or just chatting loudly to him.

Thankyou for all your replies, glad to hear I am not alone in this battle of the nappy change.

i have been doing the "busymum" method that I remember reading in another thread awhile ago but this just isnt working as he manages to twist the hips and flip half his body around while poos is flying everywhere I might try your idea The stuarts and put my leg across his body and see if that stops the hips flipping.

Nope I've been known to pin my wriggling toddler under my leg too! You're right it takes far less time and he learnt pretty quickly to lie still again. Michaela did this too. I know of people that ended up lying their kids across their knee or changing them standing up but I'm a bit nasty, thought that was too time consuming and I don't like to be ruled by a toddler so I was a bit meaner than them and I changed her on the floor and gently lay my leg across her tummy so if she wriggled I could pin her down (WWE style - lol).

It sounds a lot meaner then it actually was and it did the trick, in no time at all she was lying still again for her nappy change. The other big component is heaps of praise for being a good girl during the nappy change and also a bit of distraction, she would hold the curash for me or pull our the baby wipes etc.

Since he could move if has been a challenge to change Alize's nappy but over the past week he has been HORRENDOUS I mean I have tried everything but he kicks, screams like he is being killed, and flips himself all over the show 

SO my question to you is how long will this last? and have you anytips on getting thru the nappy change in one piece?.

My girls never went thru a stage like this and I am hoping this one will pass soon.
