well that depends on what you want it for. For nights i love the funky bumz pull on fleece covers or knitted soakers or longies.

Day time a PUL cover is fine and you can get some patterned bummis wraps from snazzipants - and i see they along with mothers instinct are selling the bummis super brites. or else there is plain moon eze covers from the TM seller kimnz (i see she has a few listed at the mo for $16). Oh another thing i love about fitteds is that some of them can be sooo soft and cuddly...

I like pockets because you can customise the absorbency to suit your child. I heart my pockets too as the drying time is so ultra quick and I also like the fact that I can make them as trim looking as I like depending on my inserts. I am loving the summer and showing off his gorgeous butt!!

I agree with the drying time for fitteds. I think Pippa at Snazzi is doing a fitted that does not need a cover. I had one and it was great (too small now) but did take a while to dry. You can put it in the dryer though.

I love my pockets as they dry quickly, don't need covers and you can increase the absorbency for heavy wetters. With fitteds you can go for all natural fibres if you prefer and wool soakers are just awesome overtop. Pockets are good because you can adjust the absorbency to suit your bubs so easily, and they are so simple for those crazy folk who think cloth nappies are too hard, like DHs, in-laws, etc...but fitteds and covers for night time because of the anti-leak business. So I reckon a combo is the way to go

fitteds are great at containing everything...and true you do need a cover over them under their clothes but at home in the summer i never bothered and was therefore able to change toby as soon as i saw he was wet, and he looked so cute...my fave was a snazzipants buzzy bee fitted.

Pockets you have to cover them up in winter too with clothes so the argument of covering fitteds kind of goes out the window there.

For night you cant beat them for breathability with a wool cover.

They can be a bit more bulky than pockets for some people.

Pockets are great too mind you and it all comes down to finding a system that works on your bubba.

I agree with the buying a beautiful nappy and then just covering it up! It just seems silly to me With Seb I'm going for some pockets, some prefolds/covers. I personally don't get the whole fitted obsession - why buy a cute nappy and then cover it up with a wrap/cover? But Gandt loves them, esp for smaller babes.

I have been reading on here to try and find out what works best. I have decided to use prefold in the early days but would like to progress from them as time goes on.
