I've sewn all my own liners - for back up for moon cup at night. Really super easy - and just used off cuts from nappies I've made. I use PUL on the back, one layer of thin towelling, and top layer flannelette. I don't have a snap press but just buy those snaps from spotlight that you hammer the two sides together - any idea what I'm talking about? I have read through all the FAQ's on mooncup/divacup websites. I really like the idea. The only worry I have is the insertion/removal. But I guess that just needs practice. (I still remember the first time I tried tampons ... that just needed practice too).

I love my moon cup too and totally agree with Stacey's comments. It can look a bit daunting at first and take a few attempts to get a good fit but now I can't imagine ever going back to tampons. It's so much more comfortable and I love that it's reusable!

Diva cup is great, it does save a lot of money! I keep ordering them for my site and they sell out so quick. I seem to always only have one left in my stock pile.

As for those nappies, my chiro told me not to do any sewing until he's seen me on friday so I haven't been able to sew like I wanted to. Greenbeans sell a DIY mama pad kit. I haven't tried it but might be worth a go if you want to try.

I'm fussy and hate the ones that you have to stuff, don't know why since I don't mind stuffing nappies but stuffing mama pads is just silly IMO. Depending on what fabrics you want to use you may need an overlocker, do you have access to one?

I've been using a Moon Cup for a few months now but I want to have a few cloth mama pads as back up on my heavy days and to possibly use at night. I'm a bit scared of by those that sell for around the $15 mark each as that seems so much to pay for one pad! I bought one to try off a local lady on TM for $6.50 which seems reasonable - but I'm wondering if I should have a go at making my own? The one I have bought is PUL backed, with hemp & flannel inner & fleece topped - which I like as it's trim and comfortable. Does anyone else use mama pads and have any particulars they LOVE or fabric combinations they prefer?
