You can reuse swimming nappies (disposables) once or twice if they haven't pooed. Just dry it out and slap it back on again.

I wouldn't use an unstuffed pocket regularly in a public pool as the chlorine would ruin it over time. I take my kids for lessons every week and the chlorine breaks down the elastic in swim nappies as well as eats throuh togs - seriously! I'd never chance it with one of my beautiful nappies.

Or even a smallish pair of shorts/undies will do the trick too. Nothing will stop urine and it won't make too much difference in any event since most primary aged kids still seem to pee in the water LOL. I wouldn't use an AIO just because the absorbent material is just going to absorb water and be all heavy. You can just use an unstuffed pocket. I use my MCN sometimes for Alize to swin in if I have forgotten his swim nap. I cant see any problem with a swim nap at all..

I agree with the others - no swim nappy will contain wee (even a disposable) as the water will just wash it all away! The main purpose is to catch poo so you just want to make sure that you have snug elastic. I like the Swimmis which is sold on the Snazzipants website as it does up with velcro so is really easy and a comfortable fit. I HATE the Kushies one I recently bought - the elastic is tight and scratchy and the velcro isn't very sticky

hi I teach swimming to little ones and I couldn't imagine the your AIO would be a problem for at home use.
The main purpose of wearing the nappy is for containment of accidents. You are right they don't contain pee and I wouldn't think that your AIO would either.
One baby in a big pool shouldn't affect the water too much. Just make sure if an accident happens that you treat your water well.

Do you think a normal AIO would be ok if you are just swimming at home?
I notice that the reuseable swim nappies available don't soak up urine...would it work better with one of those plastic nappy covers over it?
