    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="https://www.ohbaby.co.nz/forum/member_profile.asp?PF=9914">Kim</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 15093<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 06 March 2008 at 2:20pm<br /><br />1 tbsp olive oil<br />1 75g small red onion chopped<br />1 clove garlic crushed<br />150g lean braising steak cut into pieces<br />2 tbsp flour<br />150g carrots peeled and slived<br />1 medium potato peeled and sliced<br />250g kumara peeled and chopped<br />1 bay leaf<br />1 tbsp chopped parsley<br />350ml unsalted chicken stock<br /><br />Heat the oil in a heavy based pan or casserole dish and saute the onion for 4 minues until softened.<br />Add the garlic and cook for 1 more minute.<br />Toss the steak in the flour and add to the pan and saute until sealed.  Add the carrots, potato, sweet potato, bay leaf and parsley and pour over the stock.<br />Bring to the boil, cover with a lid and simmer for 1 hour 45 minutes or until the meat is very tender.<br />Blend in a food processor with as much cooking liquid as necessary to make the right consistency for your child.<br />]]>
