I have one as well. I find it's about the same as most of his pockets.. but the drying time drives me nuts. I can put that nappy on the line in summer for the whole day and the blasted thing will still be damp at the end of the day. It always takes 2 days to dry..

If you want to go for a OSFA nappy then it is going to be bulky on a newborn. If you want a trimmer option you could try a small sized pocket, such as HoneyChild - they are often sold second hand on TM, or you could buy new & resell afterwards. They seem to hold good resale value. If that's too big you could try a newborn pocket, such as Baby Harmony, although I'm not sure how tiny they are.

My mum recently made some newborn pockets for my sister that fit her 7lb (skinny) baby from birth and still fit him now at 3mths. They were really nice & trim on him.

Most cloth nappies look bulkier on little bubs compared with sposies. Daniels bum looked quite funny until he was about 3 months old.

AIO's are trim but they don't last as long as pockets, you can't adjust the absorbency and they take longer to dry.

I think it depends what matters to you most. minky is a bit bulkier and i find most small bubs in pockets do look a bit bulky in the bum. and of course it depends on what you are stuffing the nappies with too.

i have found the trimmest nappies on my little girl at the mo - and shes only 2 weeks - are fitteds and PUL covers. you can pick some up quite cheaply.
i think snazzipants do a plain pants fitted that isnt too expensive or you can get a bargain on TM.

I am new to the cloth nappy system, but have a few pockets that I am trying. I do find them very bulky though...Im not sure if thats cos they are minky ones which is a thick fabric or if its cos my DS is still little (7 weeks).

I want to get some more, but still want his clothes to fit nicely. Is it best to go for covers and prefolds, or are there some other pocket nappies or AIO that are nice and trim?

I would prefer nothing too expensive (some I see are like $40 ), also, I like the OSFA to save costs too
