Okay have to say this before I even attempt to write anything lol - this is not meant to be offensive to anyone who uses it!!

I don't really see the point of giving Ella who is going to be two in a few months, formula.. she's never had it and it seems weird and foreign to me as we've never used it (breastfed then onto cows milk). I mean, I'm sure it's completely fine but I just wouldn't want to start her on it now..

When Arna was just having a bottle at night (of formula) it would last us just under two weeks, so when they were on special (i actually got them for free!! ) at about $10 a can it works out about $5 a week and 2L of milk is around $3.50 - $4...

Hey, we use the budget milk from Pak n Save too Kat lol!
But at $3.60 for 3 litres at the moment, it sure beats anything else around, especially the way we seem to go through it!

I get mine from the cowshed... It does come out of our pocket when you think about (every 2l we take out is 2l less in our pocket) but I think we only lose like 20c a litre... anyway that has probably confused you all... and is random so ill shoosh now

I gave Ella the toddler milk when I first put her onto cows milk, then asked around incl the plunket nurse and decided to just stick with the dark blue. We drink quite a bit of milk too and don't have enough room in our fridge for the toddler milk + ours

I would spend the extra 30c on the Jr milk, but only because I drink Calci-Xtra which isn't good for toddlers so I'd have to buy Maya her own milk anyway, might as well buy the good stuff.

But that's assuming she would drink cows milk! She is no longer allergic, hasn't been for about 5 mths, and eats icecream and sometimes yoghurt, but refuses cows milk. Perservered with it for about 6 weeks, till the dental nurse told me she had calcium deficiency lines on her teeth Bad, bad mother!

Thanks guys. Might just stick with the normal milk as Han eats quite a range of food.

It is only a 30c difference (or around there) if you are buying anchor milk but I live with my sister and her stingy boyfriend who insists on buying budget milk, which makes the price difference a lot bigger! I think it would be worth it as someone said, if you have a fussy eater. But personally Jake eats a wide range of food, he just has blue milk too. Anna, it's not vanilla flavoured it just tastes like normal milk. We think of it this way if it didn't contain extra vitamins etc as stated, then they can't advertise that it does. excuse my ignorance but is the junior milk bottled like the normal milk?? I buy the boys toddler formula which can last them upto 2 weeks - also use it for making custards etc. I found this cheaper for me as the boys LOVE milk and we go thru the normal milk quite fast as I love milk too lol. Arna was on blue milk on her 1st birthday!! Couldnt wait to stop paying $15 a week for formula!! She only had half a glass with breakfast and a bottle before bed so didn't go through much at all...

We use that for Jayden as he is a fussy eater and what he does eat can not be condisered healthy, but he loves a drink of milk. So plunket suggested we try it as it has extra vitamins in it. We also use the iron fortified one.
