I didn't find pins too much of an issue, altho given how wriggly the gremlins are now I have no idea how I managed to get pins into Maya's nappies when she was this age. <br />Now I use flats as inserts, in fact they're the only inserts I use as my nanny couldn't seem to figure out how to pair up microfibre/hemp/bamboo inserts so they worked, so flats are just easier, and equally as absorbent IMO.]]>

The midwives at the hospital showed me how to fold them and I never used pins, just folded it and then put a cover over top. It works fine for when they aren't moving much. You could then use then as inserts for pockets?]]>

Just not as efficient as mcns! I didn't like having to pin them either, especially once she got wriggly and impatient with changing times, I was always scared of sticking her. <br />I use them now for stuffing my mcns and they make great change mats/playmats/burp cloths/spew catchers/boobie leak stoppers.... <img border="0" src="https://www.ohbaby.co.nz/forum/smileys/smiley4.gif" border="0"> ]]>
