Okay, so I have now purchased a retro dot foxybot and a trial Harmony nappy!! Yay so excited!! Just have to wait for them to arrive now.

It's quite normal to have a bulky nappy at night as you are needing a nappy to last 3-4 times as long as it does in the daytime! The bulkiness never seems to bother babies at night though so I wouldn't consider it a problem.

I really like HC nappies but I think that Foxybots and Fuzzis are more generous in fit. I haven't tried a medium Foxybots but Leo is in a large at 13kg and still wearing them on the tightest waist popper and second-tighest leg popper. Plus the fabric is GORGEOUS!! They are really well made so if you're looking for NZ made you should definitely give them a go.

I've got some more retro dot fabric to make harry a nappy if you wanted (just haven't got around to getting them finished). The inserts are seperate. I sell them seperate just because so many people already have tons of inserts and don't need more

Only needing 2 inserts for night time isn't bad. I found it quite good to experiment with a few different kinds, rather than just buying up a bunch of the same ones. What have you tried so far? Maybe we can help you decide? I don't think you can go wrong with a basic pocket nappy like Fuzzi Bunz, Honeychild, Foxybots or Harmony Naps. If Harry is of average size then he could probably fit into a medium which would last him a while (or even til TT for some!).

Thanks ladies, I thought that the whole double opening thing might be a bit of an issue. It's great to be able to ask you all before buying something as I am new to the whole cloth nappy thing.

Sounds like a new Mommy's Touch nappies with the pocket opening at both ends. My sister has them and I hated stuffing them as they seemed really awkward - I could never get the insert in the right place! They are supposed to be so you can throw them in the wash without removing the insert first but my sister says they have a mind of their own and it's the luck of the draw as to whether the insert comes out in the wash or not!

I agree I hate mine, the insert is always poking out the front or back. they leaked like nothing else i've ever used. the inserts never stayed in place......lovely colours but that's all they have going for them!
