Leo just made me laugh, we were all sitting outside in the sun and he was patting the dog and the cat comes along and lies on the ground in front of him trying to get the dogs attention.  We have been teaching manners lately so I had to laugh when Leo looks all cross and says "exkoose me pweese kitty"  And got really annoyed when kitty wouldnt move, cause he asked nicely and everything!!

Excellent this thread worked just as I hoped it would! I feel very supported now :) It makes it so much easier to deal with when you know everyone else is going through the same thing.

Yup, we're getting the lie on the floor and kick and beat your hands and scream tantrums too. And she can turn in a heartbeat, as soon as she even *thinks* she's not going to get her own way.

As well as squealing at an ear splitting level because she knows she's not allowed to, over and over again - I don't actually think she needs to breathe she can hold that squeal for so long. That's been going on for months too.

Hitting her sister in the face every chance she gets. Hitting and kicking mum and dad.

Pulling open drawers and throwing everything out then running away.

Tipping her entire bowl or plate of food upside down, or spitting her drink all over us. Nice.

She's a lovely, intelligent, wonderful girl but man is she stubborn and headstrong! She turns two in September.

mmm can I join in too, I was a bit worried my boy was not normal.

Sunday was the worst we have ever had it! My thread OH MY GOSH will tell you all about it.

Leo can be like Jekyll & Hyde some days!!  He is the sweetest more adorable little boy, and then he turns into Chucky the devil child!  Of course NO is his fave word, with the look lol!  He will ask for something and then when you give it to him he gets pissy, so I say to him well ill leave it here on the bench then, and then he gets pissy again and wants you to give it back to him lol! Go figure?  Well if nothing else he keeps me entertained!

Sam hasn't starting saying 'No' to us yet thank goodness but we just get the evil glare constantly.
This is quite often accompanied by throwing herself on the floor and kicking/screaming.

My absolute favourite (NOT) is when you are walking through a public place and try to pick her up and she goes all floppy and starts screaming (she is in her harness so can't escape). Jack is in the process of TT at the moment but every time he gets told off he wets his pants. It drives me insane but I can't exactly tell him off for wetting his pants. He thinks doing wees will get him out of time out. Also he now spits at me when I try to tell him off as well. Anyone else got a gorgeous, head strong kidlet with a will as strong as iron?

Some of the challenges we have at the moment:

Stop = run away, even onto the road.   This occurs every single time I try to ge her to walk the 15 steps from the door to the car...she runs as fast as she can down the driveway. Despite being consistent for months it's not improving.

No = scream at the top of your lungs and give the worlds most evil stare.

Careful = lash out and hit

FULL ON!

Please share your testing toddler experiences here so we all know we are not alone.
