I have kids coming up to me and saying I have a big tummy
I just grin and say yes (well I do lol ) and they usually ask if there is a baby in there.

All you can really do is just keep telling Bailey that you don't say things like that in your family, and what A is saying is not nice. If the mother doesn't care then I'd be inclined to say something to the school about it. well im glad its not just me over reacting! i KNOW im fat but i dont want my son to be ashamed because some little **** is teasing him about it!
unfortunately i know his mother and she wont give a hoot about the whole situation!

With your last comment i then would be talking to someone - if he's going on at your boy and telling him to call you names etc then i don't think that's on, that's over the top of normal kid behaviour.

We are finding now that Paris has had a few times where kids say things about mike toher and she gets a bit annoyed and upset with them simply cos well, that's how she's always known him, she doesn't really compare him to people. We had to have a talk about how yes dad is very small and some people aren't as used to that as she is and taught her to put a positive spin on it, she had a kid say to her not long ago about mike being "really skinny" and she told the kid that yeah he is small but that means he can hide well in hide and seek and she can never find him! OK at first I thought that's just kids being kids (I remember babysitting a 4-yr-old when I was a teen, who poked my thigh saying "your things are far bigger than my mummy's"... he also told me "you've got little red dots all over your face!", ah, kids) - cause they'll point out anything they like at the top of their voices and if it's a sore point then yeah, it hurts when they say it. But then I read that the same child keeps saying that to Bay?! I'd call that teasing, and a word to the staff mightn't be a bad idea - better still would be the opportunity to mention it to the child's mother (hmmm, awkward convo to open up though! today i dropped Bay off at school, as i was walking out from signing him in he was walking back inside with a few other boys when 1 of them says "your mums fat ay Bailey" ....well thanks a friggen lot! it did hurt me but what got to me the most is - does comments like these make Bailey ashamed??? ...
