LadyBird - we use them and they are great value for money. You get 20 in the tub plus the tea tree oil which lasts forever. None of mine are stained at all, I wash them with the nappies and hang them on the line with them. I don't find them scratchy cos they have water on them. You would only need one tub for one baby.

I like wipes that are two layers of flannel or flannel and velour or sherpa. Most of ours are homemade but I have a few dandelionz ones which are great :D

I made one once with microfleece on one side and it generally gets used last. But yes, agree with Tweedle - the sherpa ones are loverly and soft and very grippy.

I personally don't like the few wipes I have with microfleece on them because that side doesn't feel wet because I don't think the microfleece holds the moisture. I like my wipes to be wet, I think it's nicer on baby's skin.

Oh, and I have heaps Like, about 50 wipes at least. That's with two kids in cloth and I always have spare ones that aren't being used/in the wash. I like to be prepared!

I've got cheeky wipes as well and they are good but not my favourite wipes. Compared to the Dandilionz ones and some other home made ones with flannel and sherpa/terry/velour they are a bit thin, but still good. I use a mixture of them and the Dandilionz and home made ones. They are just like little flannels, so don't take long to dry. I wash ours with Sam's nappies and they go on the line or clothes horse at the same time.
I think the pack comes with 10 or 20 wipes which I find is plenty. We probably go through around 6-8 every two days at most.

They are quite thick although I am pretty sure they are just one layer. I don't really know how to tell to be honest.

I actually find it worse trying to clean up a poo with a disposable wipe than I do a cloth wipe! Disposable wipes seem to spread poo about the place and I always have to use 2 or 3 at a time. But one cloth wipe can clean up the biggest mess. The trick is to wipe the excess poo off with the inside of the nappy as you're pulling it off first - that way you don't get big clumps of poo on your wipe. As for how many - I have 15 cloth wipes and never run out. We go through probably 3-4 nappies per day so use the same amount of wipes, and do a wash every other day. So for only spending about $35 on my cloth wipes over a year ago I've saved tons!!

Im still new to the whole MCN world, always used sposies and i admit that i also use disposable wipes. Ive been using chux cloths on my lil newborn... not that newborn anymore... but i am a bit anxious about the excess poo on the cloths when they start solids
Il be using flushable liners with my gorgeous bitti d'lish so i wont have to handle the majority of it, but is it really gross using cloth wipes with a big baby or am i just a big wimp?

I love cloth wipes but my favourite are Dandilionz terrry/velour wipes ($2.20 each from Green Beans). They've lasted so well and look as good as they day I bought them (well over a year ago). The terry is really good at picking up/cleaning poo while the velour is really soft and stays warm when wet. I love these
I am still using the same wipes that I bought originally well over a year ago. They wash up really well and still look new when clean.

I have wipes from Stacey and they are great. Good size and not too thin either so you don't get stuff on you hands. And even better, they are the perfect size for a Huggies wipes container so they sit in there.

I've heard good things about them. The bucket looks kinda cool!

I like wipes that have flannel on one side and microfleece on the other (what i have on my site).
