I use handtowels to be honest. They are fantastic. They absorb everything including tummy bug poos! We made 3 from a kit as well (I cut and read the instructions, Mum sewed) haven't noticed any leaks or difference really in absorbancy etc between the home made ones and 2 others that I bought off another OB! i dont sew but you could try that FOE - fold over elastic - instead if you were worried. a lot of well known nappy brands have that fleece rolled out thing going on in the legs tho...

Hi ladies,
I've been making my own pocket nappies.
In the instructions it says to sew the elastic onto the fleece side so the fleece rolls out to sit on baby's leg rather than the PUL so it's softer.

So after making 9 I realised that this could cause them to leak??
