    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="https://www.ohbaby.co.nz/forum/member_profile.asp?PF=18013">peanut butter</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 21110<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 22 September 2008 at 4:45pm<br /><br /><P>I am not so sure the idea of changing just the insert if they only wee works.&nbsp; I find my boy wees right through so everything is wet....or the sides at least so we have to change everytime.&nbsp; then again I think he is holding on and letting it all go at once.&nbsp; Thats a lot for any nappy to deal with.</P><P>&nbsp;</P><P>One advantage I could see to getting extra inserts is as alianasmum said, the outers dry HEAPS faster than the inserts so if you only had a few you could wash them, hang them on the heated towel rail over night and your outers will be dry in the morning.&nbsp; The inserts take about 24 hours on our towel rail.&nbsp; Obviously with summer coming things are going to dry fast outside.</P><P>&nbsp;</P><P>We have just bought the bakers dozen (13) snap ins and had 3 so we have way more than we probably need but that should make them last longer and do no 2 as well.</P>]]>

My partner thought the nappy would look newer longer because its the insert that could get stained and we could just replace it. I use it without a booster and it lasts as long as the snap ins with a booster. It doesn't take any longer to dry either. The hempy part of the snap in I find takes just as long as the sewn in to dry.<br /><br />The advantage of the snap in is that you can buy extra snap ins and then if they just piddle you can change the snap in rather than the whole nappy, and yep wash after every change. Newborns tend to poo at every feed (or at least my one did) so would definitely need washing.<br />How many depends on how much washing you want to do and how often. I think I started out with 8 nappies and then have slowly increased my stash to about 18. I found in the early days 8 wasn't enough though as he was changed more often then than he is now, but we just did a mix of cloth and disposable. If you want to be fully cloth then I would say you would need a min of 12 nappies and you would need to wash everyday. ]]>

They both feel like they will hold everything the little mite will do.<br /><br />What do people prefer the AIO look to be the best just a little worried about washing and drying them and how many I would need, since I would need to wash these after every change?? unless I am wrong.]]>
