Hi all

I am blown away by the number of beautiful, generous women on this forum thinking about egg donation. It gives me some hope that we might find a sperm donor here too.

My partner and I are a heterosexual couple (European, in Auckland) who have been trying to conceive for several years. We are enrolled on the waiting list for a sperm donor at Fertility Associates but at the moment this is over two years long and this has led us to exploring other avenues for finding a donor.

We are looking for a compassionate and generous person who would be willing to donate sperm to us so that we can start our family. We are looking for a potential donor that would be willing to work through Fertility Associates rather than a private arrangement. We would prefer a donor that does not want to be involved in our lives past donation (but that would be willing to be contacted if the child wished to make contact once they were older). We are a loving, stable and financially secure couple. We could give a child an wonderful childhood if we given the opportunity. We desperately want to be parents and we are devastated that we are in the situation of having to consider sperm donation.

We understand that what we are asking is huge - but we are hoping that some one out there might know what we are going through and be willing to assist us.
