I have only ever tried snaps. I love them. But then again, I don't like velcro in general, because it wears out and doesn't always stick. We have tried both, early on it was snaps but I couldn't get a good fit around Leahs chicken legs (the legs would be gaping and the waist fitting etc), so we changed to velco and that has worked much better. She has only ever taken her nappy off once and I find it doesn't matter who is changing her they are always done up right. Joel is now in his cloth and they are velcro too.

The 14 month olds in my a/n group can get their velcro nappies off, but the babies with nappies with snaps can't.

I prefer velcro but it appears the itti bitti's I like are snaps so I get by. Definitely snaps! Nope he can take disposables off as well. The only time he has a disposable on is at night though and so far hasn't worked out how to get into his sleeping bag and his jump suit to get it off, but he does try as i'm getting him dressed.

A few months ago I would have said velcro as I find it is more adjustable than having fixed snap settings and was easier for DH to use because it is close to be liking disposables, but now Spencer can rip off his velcro nappies, oh and he can also take his trousers off. So after finding his naked and wet bum in his cot it is snaps all the way.

Snaps as when they get older it is harder for them to take their nappy off.

I actually find the velcro alot easier on my wriggly man, but find the snaps often get a better fit on him...
