I use the Johnsons ones and do what lilfatty does - poke the hanging-out bits back in rather than fold them.

Bambino mio ones are very soft and move around very easily. We don't buy this brand as they just don't work with an active toddler at all.
We use tots bots or other brands that are stronger, this means that you can rewash them too if they are just wet not dirty.

I don't fold them I just let them hang out the sides and it holds them in place. Ahhh ...

I found if I folded them smaller to fit inside the nappy then they would scrunch. They are Bambino Mia liners and I have to fold them to fit them in the nappy too. It's difficult to see how you could be doing it wrong as there can't be too many ways to put a liner in a nappy . Surely?!!

How big are the ones you're using? I don't know, I gave up on them for the same reason though.
