Our DS has been muscle tested twice. Once at about 3 months and again at about a year old.

They go me to hold him and him hold the food being tested and used my fingers. We found it really reliable -although initially it missed his egg allergy. It has picked up all the others as well as some intollerances.

I can definately sympathise. It's not fun finding these things the hard way. Especially as our DS (like yours) never reacts the first time he has something. Sometimes he has had something 20+ times, then we get a reaction!

Our Naturopath uses muscle testing (and other techniques) to identity which foods don't agree with our DS. We have found this sort of testing even agrees with his specialists allergy diagnosis.

This might give you a better idea of what foods he is allergic or intollerant to as I'm not sure what sort of success you will have with trying single foods as they can remain in Jett's system (and in your milk) for up to 6 weeks.

All the best - I know it's a tricky situation to be in!

Poor wee Jett! Hopefully it won't be too stressful for you. I had a bugger of a time trying to keep Mercedes dairy free after she developed temporary lactose intolerance following Rotavirus at 13 mths. They were dairy free till 10 mths without any probs but once she started having it it was so hard to get her off it again! Mind you she was FF so it meant changing her formula, whereas Jett is still BF.
