I tried giving it to him on the side of his mouth today and that worked heaps better - only had some spillage yay

Have tried beginning of feed as well but he's waiting so long for a feed these days (his choice not mine!) that he's ravenous by the time he's asking for it and screams if I try the gaviscon first...

Did you find giving them Gaviscon disrutped their sleep patterns? We had a really good routine down that since starting Gaviscon has totally changed - just wondering if it was the medication or just a phase...

We also found the medication more effective gien before the feed also.

It is not easy!!
I found that way work with my babies. Put gavison in the syringe then put on settee next to you so it is ready for you quickly, then place baby on you lap with baby facing you with one of your hand holding high part of back of neck to support head, holding baby down at 45'dgree. With spare hand, put syringe into mouth BUT not aims down the throat, just aims slowly at inside the cheek areas, so he can swallowing it easier than force down the throat that can cause him struggling to swallow/breath hence spitting out. Hope that help?
