My youngest used to be on the AR formula. And we just used normal teats...nothing flash or expensive.
The reason why it is getting thick is because you are leaving it too long.....or your son is taking longer to drink it. This is why you can't make AR milk up in advance....only when you need it.
Perhaps try making a smaller amount to avoid this.
Or try a faster flow teat.

How old is he?
If over 6 month old, try sippy cup? as ideal. My youngest two children never had bottle but I told MIL to give my then-5months old baby a sippy cup full of breastmilk when I went out for meal.
