I have picked up everything preloved on either TM or TNN and although they're all in excellent condition it's only cost me a fraction of what it would have if I'd bought new. I only expect baby to wear them for the first 6-8wks or until medium Itti Bitti's fit

I found prefolds with a snappi pretty good on a newborn & they are quite cheap to buy too. The prefolds are handy later on too as stuffing for pocket nappys, burp cloths etc

I won't be soaking the prefolds. If they end up stained from not soaking them I don't really care so long as they are clean

Do they get dirtier than other systems?

I have continued working 1 day a week (rather than giving it up ) to help pay for the new things I want so am hoping to be able to buy a new set of nappies. I probably won't buy a large amount as I will have the NapNaps as backup, Jack is currently in pockets.

I was just worried that small (or newborn?) pockets might leak around the legs if we have a small baby. What other system is good? Sized fitteds? I would rather buy them before baby is born rather then trying to cart 2 kids around the shops looking for some.

However they made his bum really big.

So I was wondering if I should start with prefolds for this baby until they get a bit bigger and grow into the NapNaps better.

What do you think? Is this a better way to go?
