im in Halswell and it just suddenly started raining, Really raining ! it was very hard, it has stopped now but everything is very wet and its cloudy. I think it might rain again, its so strange how the weather can differ so much all over chch. fingers crossed for rain for you Booboo

yeh Im trying not too stress too much, I used to give Zech water in a bottle when he was little every now and then but now he won't take a bottle, which isnt usually a problem, except for this one hiccup and now I wish he would take a bottle. As for the breastmilk thats been frozen for him, well he will just have to have it cos he ain't gonna get anything else, im just glad im not the one looking after him. hehe.

great thanks foxxyone, sorry to hear Ethan has croup, thats terrible, poor wee man. hopefully he recovers quickly.
Zech will only sleep at home, its so annoying, he used to sleep anywhere! but he must be going thru some sort of phase. lol.
the next group will be next friday ( march 6th) won't it? I am getting my tonsils out on March 2nd so if you don't hear from me next week its cos Im still recovering but hopefully I'll be fine. I am more worried about my boy than the op. My MIL is gonna be looking after him but Zech doesn't do breastmilk that isn't fresh and doesn't do bottles, at all. So it will be interesting to see how he copes, it will be breastmilk out of a sipper cup. hehe. Ok so Im trying not to think about it, otherwise I wind myself up. so i'll leave it there.

thomasina- cool msg me in a about a week and we will come visit...i know how that is..i was so stressed about taking him far when he was little as he was(and still is) a baby who needed to sleep heaps (and i preferred it at home!)

im not put off. Personally I think that comment was slightly uncalled for. I've gone to a couple of these groups and all the ladies I've met are lovely and get along great. I think maybe there was just some confusion about the way a couple of things were worded.

People have the right to pull out of coffee groups, due to sick children, this is what happens when you have more than one child. There is always a next time. And yes it does suck for that person hosting. Alot of organising for nothing.

Different people have different lifestyles.

I personally don't see why kids can't just get on. I guess all I was saying was that the issue of older and younger kids had never been an issue before. All meet ups prior had been fine with no issue. I think its sad that it was an issue that was obviously underlying.

TBH, I am sick of people going to the effort of organising meet ups only to have all the people pull out at the last minute. The annoying thing is that the people that pull out on a regular basis are the same ones that moan and get the times and dates sorted around them.

Just my opinion though and as we have all heard what neddaf thinks, this is what I think.

I am reading this as an outsider remember who is looking to join a group.

This is not fair to anyone wanting to join in at all is it.
If anyone is actually keen to get together and just have a good time i am so keen!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And yes she is right in thinking all kids can get along absolutely i think a couple of them were just stating that older children sometimes get bored and end up wanting your attention therefore it is no fun for the mum!!!!!!!

And i never said Foxxy_one said that, i said Foxxy_one was saying their are no older ones at the Friday coffee group.

All children should play with each other, but older children you can't expect to have fun and enjoy it everytime with young ones. And yes young children like 1 year olds love playing with older children they love watching them.

and also to point out with the age thing for me anyway I find it hard to go somewhere if there is only a baby cos my kids are into anything and everything and often newish mums arent prepared for older kids and dont like them playing with babies toys. Not saying that about anyone here but its happened to me in the past so I always like to make sure people are comfortable and prepared for a toddler.

Lisha and mummiemax, we did use to organise for a day that everyone on the board could make but then quite often everyone would pull out and only Kerri-Anne, Tiff and me would turn up so we decided to make a time that suited us instead. However it would be lovely to have more mums and more kiddies of all ages come and join us. So if you want to let us know which days and times suit you guys and then hopefully we can find a time that suits us all. Hey,  well yes Sarah you are right however the 3 year olds tend to get bored and yes it is for the mums but i would like to think my children are having fun. As i am not going to go somewhere if they are not enjoying themselves harder work for the mums.

My daughter would and does play with younger children however its nice for a change for her to play with older ones every now and then

Who cares what age the kids are! My 1 year old would play happily with a 3 year old and does on lots of occasions. Isn't it actually about the Mums getting together for a gossip, advice and support.

Hi Guys. Im have been trying to work out if I should come to coffee group tomorrow. I live in Halswell tho so its a long way and I just realised that I'll be most likely heading home in the rush hour traffic as well, so I may leave it this week and wait for one closer to home. I go to one all the way across town and its no prob but I have a feeling that kaipoi might be a bit far for me. I'll think about it tho.

Hi Guys

I havn't been online much lately, and when I have its been quick. Had heaps on. Family visiting etc: I also completely forgot about the meet up on V Day but as it happened I was busy anyway..glad to hear it went well tho. Last week I felt terrible actually, I just constantly felt sick, I was up all night one night and I think Ive only just got my sleep back. But I was never actually sick, just felt it, it was awful and I've still no idea wat it was, could have been food posioning or something I picked up from play&music. Who knows, Anyway, that was last week. I will definately be coming to yours on friday cuppatea, if thats ok. friday the 20th right?
I think the spreadsheet idea with everyones contact details on it sounds great!

I was thinking of maybe starting a chch spreadsheet thingy - with our names and cellphone numbers on it so that we can text etc if something comes up and we can't make it etc...would make it easier than having to check on line etc.

I'm keen for another, but as those of you who were there know I am away for work for the next five weeks, so my weekends (when I'm back) ,will be DH focussed.

Well ladies I'm already amped to organise the next girls night or day whos up for another go mayby next weekend or the one after? Despite the poor turn out I still had a great time. You lovely ladies that came along were great fun. I'm thinking an evening this time is the go, mayby Fri or Sat night this time possibly Sol Square? Anyone keen?

O.K. I just made the reservation for 11 figured I would account for extras. We are meeting inside in the restuarant under the name Ohbaby group at 1230. I figured if its nice we can move outside or to the bar once everyones there (the restuarant is the least nicest part of the Dux) Hope you all make it. Can't wait to get away from the rugrats! Hey all, well i am gutted to say that i also wont be making it on Saturday as for the first time in 6 years my DH has a planned day for me, although i am very excited with my 12.15pm appointment for a full body massage.

And dinner and movies wow i can't believe it really, he even organised my mum to baby sit over night LOL.
