same here, 1-2 inserts or even 1 insert and a booster for a newborn that needed to be changed every couple of hours.

I used 1 microfibre booster or 2 std microfibre inserts and they easily lasted 9 hours.

hiya just a Q for those who have used pockets on their newborns... what are they best to stuff with?

I used cloth on Gabrielle since she was about 8 months and have most of the time used old cloth flats folded up. However I feel that that would make a newborn pocket too bulky. I have some flat squares of bamboo (from green beans) as well which I put into Gabrielles night nappy but using them alone I find they get sopping wet.
