Hi everyone. Just tying to keep this on the 2010 front page really.
Caleb is very cheeky at the moment. Bit clingy. Talking lots but still hard to understand. Playing with the older boys really well. Wish the rain would let up!
Aria is 4 months. I don't know where the time has gone. She is drooly hands in mouth, smiles, goos and , copes with a little tummy time, rolling front to back. Still reflux most days but sleeping THANK GOODNESS. Been in hospital a few times from Apneas, same as caleb did.
Still waiting for celebs surgery. His ribs have changed shape apparently from the trouble he has breathing at night. Yikes. Paed and hearing have their hopes pinned on surgery fixing those issues. Hurry up already!
Cursed hormones making me feel CLUCKY whenever I see newborns. Sigh. Hope you are all well. If I can work out how to find Facebook groups on iPhone you can add me too! Technology challenged!!

Caleb finally had his ENT appointment after 2 postponments, 8 months of waiting and 2 years of badgering paediatrician at hospital that his apneas continue.... 10 seconds into the video footage the guy told me he has severe obstructive sleep apnea, should still be on a monitor and have a raised cot. Now just waiting for surgery for tonsils and adenoids out, and possibly do a sleep study after that to see if he needs oxygen at night. (why wait for that I ask you??) friggin system.

Aria still screaming :( so tired and it's only been 7 weeks. Sigh. I hope Aria settles soon - wow 6 weeks already!!

Not much to report here - Baylee developed a gastro bug on Friday night so all our plans for easter have gone out the window! not the way I pictured easter but oh well what you going to do.

Her bottom is red raw I took her to the doctor last night and he gave us a cream but I think it is hurting her. Whenever you put it on she just screams and screams until we take her pants off and put a cold flannel over her - Am going to take her back for a 3rd time tomorrow if the diarrhea and the rash don't settle down.
I am hoping and praying that DP & I don't get it - especially seen as I got so sick last time I got a bug off her!

Anyway better go and finish watching pooh bear for the 10th time today

hi everyone.
congrats skrippy!

Aria is 6 weeks old today! can't believe it. time flies when you are up all night and day holding a screaming reflux baby she is on necoate formula and losec. i have weaned her as i decided i did not want to eliminate all allergens from my diet as i did with the others so no tandem feeding at this end!but caleb has been 'helping' by shoving the bottle in her mouth! been crying lots over this decision as caleb only weaned himself when my milk supply dropped off while pregnant. so many wonderful moments i am going to miss out on :(

on the plus side she has smiled thats early for my lot, what with their reflux.

caleb is talking so much now, and has lots of words. has his ENT appt soon.

older boys have survived the first term of school and kindy. very strange not having them at home all day. miss them lots. yay for holidayS! (HEHEHEHE she says on the first day...just wait till the end HAHAHAHA).

*sigh* should go eat something and have a shower and get dressed

Oh Kells, just read your news I feel so stink now for you. If it's any consolation I had a m/c in September 2005 (similar situation as yours started bleeding at 11 weeks but a scan showed the fetus only measured 6 weeks) and fell pregnant again 6 months later with DS2. Naw My4Beauties I am having the exact same feelings about Belle starting Kindy in May, I am soooo looking forward to it but at the same time not! Which is silly as she went to DC for 5 months!

Kellz how are you?? I hope your energy levels are getting back up there have been thinking about you the last few days!

 

We have a fun weekend planned going away to the beach YAY but I have so much to organise and I am really stressed about Ben in the car with us for just over an hour, he hates the car so much I have to rush to get to a destination just 15 mins away just to avoid screaming but as soon as the car seat is out or the car stops hes fine! DH gets annoyed/stressed with it as do I and I am dreading the trip up there - if anyone has any suggestions on how to cope with this please let me know! Other than that I am really looking forward to going away!

Have been giving Ben a formula top up at night, which seems to be working well but I have noticed that through the night he gets a snuffly nose, not sure if its a cold night air thing or an allergy to formula milk, as he has reflux which is related to allergies etc so I guess i can only but keep an eye on him.

Funny so much more confident with the second but they do bring about a different set of problems!!

Any names for baby yet Tara?

Who else is next to pop? The list has gone AWOL.

Ava starts kindy on thursday and as much as i'm excited for her, i have a knot in my stomach! Even though i've left her overnight with her nana, and when i have appointments, this is different. She'll be amongst so many other kids and having to deal with all that comes with that. I guess it just that realisation that she is actually old enough to attend kindy! Where's my baby gone? Rang the MW back at about 10 to say we would head in now, contractions were now 3min apart and lasting 60sec. I had a big cry in the car about leaving Cooper for the first time and panicking about how he would be.
Got to hospital at about 10.20pm, had an internal and was 6-7cm dilated. Was still feeling great between contractions and was joking around and laughing.
Details from here on get a bit hazy, but things started amping up at about 11pm (I think) and was starting to feel pressure and was pushing with each contraction. I hopped up on the back of the bed and laboured like that for the rest of the time.
Baby was born at 11.50pm, with no pain relief and weighed 9lb0oz. He went straight onto my chest and did a breast crawl and was nursing just over an hour later.
I had a number of tears as baby had his hand by his face, so a gyno was called in to stitch me up, one large tear on the side of my vagina and one on my clitoris, plus a number of smaller ones.
Baby is totally chilled out and happy, breastfeeds like a dream and sleeps all the time.
It has been a million and one times different to the birth of Cooper and they are such different children.
Cooper is so smitten with baby too, they breastfeed together and Cooper likes to hold his hand or rub his back while they do and whenever baby cries Cooper comes and gently runs his head.

My4Beauties - no she isnt, I looked it to her going back there as she loved it and knows teachers etc but they have a minimum of two full days attendance per week, which is way too long, even tho some days it would be nice to have a whole day its just not necessary and it was too expensive.

This Kindy is next door to the school I taught at so I know that she will love it there

I am getting pretty excited about her starting actually as I will be able to get some things done and have some time with Ben

Yep A starts kindy in 2 weeks! It's great when you already have a child enrolled there as you get first choice when a place comes up. I know she'll love there. A is popping out new sentences everyday! Last night as i was undressing her for her bath she kept saying "i do it, i do it!" and i love when she's looking for someone around the house she calls out to whoever it is she wants, and then says "are yoooou?"

Snap My4Beauties - I have just enrolled Belle in kindy two mornings a week and I found out that the kindy is free for the first 20 hours! Belle really needs kindy she gets bored being at home "helping" mummy and it will be so good for Ben to have some one on one time - cant wait for her to start!

Chickadeedoo - the lady at our Kindy said that all kindys start at 2 it just depends on how full there roll is, perhaps your one has a very full roll?

Not much else happening here Ben and Belle are both doing so well - Belle is putting 4 words together now - so cute! Ben is coming up 4 months which is weird as it feels like I only had him yesterday!!

Yeah they take them from 2 years which is great. It's a private kindy. Good to hear you're feeling ok kellz. I guess you know that the option is there, so when you do decide the time is right to start ttc, it should happen quickly.

I've decided to put ava in kindy one morning a week. I need to spend time in the office and can't do it having her at home. She gets bored now whie i'm busying myself with housework and the office. If she goes to kindy one morning it'll give me that time to get things done. Thanks everyone. We doing pretty well. I feel fine half the day then the exhaustion just hits me. I start back at work next Mon, so I hope it improves by then. It has only been 1 week today since blood transfusions tho.
Emotionally Im coping way better than I thought I would, and keep waiting for it to hit me more. It helps that we know baby didnt grow properly.
I try not to think about the future tho- I keep changing my mind from wanting to ttc asap- at least 3 months tho,...to just wanting to sell all our baby stuff and not have any more. So trying to remember I need to give myself time before thinking about it too much.

M$B- sounds like it might be teething to me too. Aiden has taken ages to fully get his molars- a tiny bit comes through at a time but its taken months for each tooth to come up fully- and he suffers badly. I think they nearly done tho, and finally hes only waking twice a night which is amazing!!

MamaT- I hope u dont have to wait too long for bubba to arrive!

How's that bubs getting on Tara? Made his appearance yet?

Kellz, how you holding up hun??

Ava's been unwwell the past few days. Came down with a high temp on friday amd it's been up and down since. No other signs of illness though, still eating ok, and sleeping great! Although had a few wake ups in the night, yawn! she has momens of meltdowns, completely out of the blue, so maybe that's part of her not feeling well. I once read that angel babies were new souls trying out a body for a short time to get used to it before coming back for the long haul. We lost baby at 11 weeks, on Sun- our 6th wedding anniversary.
Started a wee bit of bleeding Sat am, so called in sick from work for that afternoon and rested in bed, hoping everything would be ok. By Sat night was bleeding more and passing clots, so knew we were losing baby.
Sun afternoon the light bleeding and a few clots turned into severe bleeding- after 1/2hr sitting on the loo at the in-laws with blood pouring out, I rang the on-call midwife and she said to get to the hospital straight away.
I bleed like that for another 5 hrs- they gave me IV fluid and did a scan- showed that baby was still alive ( which surprised me cos I thought I had passed it sat night) but it only measured 6 weeks instead of 11 so hadnt developed normally.It was sitting low- just above the cervix, so was only a matter of time then.
I kept having contractions but refused all pain relief medication except panadol and used heat pack, and concentrated on relaxing and breathing.
The called the Ob in, and he did and internal- by that point everything had passed into the vaginal so he was able to remove it, and the bleeding and pains stopped then and Ive had almost none since.
Spent 3 nights in hospital and only just got home at lunchtime today tho, cos of the ammount of blood I lost. My blood pressure was real low and I had headaches and dizziness- had iron infusion on Mon afternoon, but I was worse yesterday and the headaches and dizziness were continuous. My Hb was only 78, so I had 2 units of blood yesterday and everything is a lot better today so I was finally able to come home. Have missed DH and the kids so bad.
Midwife has been great- visited Mon and again today at the hospital and is popping in here again tomorrow.

Apparently the chance of having another mc or pregnancy problems is much higher if you conceive again within a year. I just got Baylee a toddler bed off 1 day .... $60 + courier - I thought that was pretty good. It is plastic and metal but I think it will be fine. if not on trade me it goes. Not much happening here. I have done some relieving at DS' daycare and am now considering doing some study in early childhood.. rather expensive so I need to save some money to even start doing that. congrats heidi! that's awesome news yay tara, not long now til you meet your wee bub!

well i had my scan this morning and am very happy to report there is a healthy wee bub growing in utero the little bugger is completely snuggled up on my left hand side so explains why i'm feeling some discomfort. plenty of room for it to stretch out but its decided to huddle up in one spot funnily enough, its the same side i lost my tube from so perhaps its giving it a wee cuddle xx

measuring 18 weeks rather than 19 so i've relented and finally accepted their changed due date of 14th august.

Why is everyone all of a sudden always asking if we're having another baby??!  I hope it's not cause I look pregnant! Congrats on your little girl 4th time. What a gorgeous name and great weight too!!! I will keep my fingers crossed the reflux symptoms are from the drugs and not reflux!!

M2G - wow 18 weeks already!!! So your scan must be tomorrow then, exciting!!!!

Things are ticking along pretty well here. Poor Cooper is cutting his 2yo molars at the moment, so has been a grumpy sick little boy lately, but rather now than after baby arrives. yay for being 18wks m2g I love that stage. i wouldnt worry about the movement thing my 2nd i didnt feel moving til after 20wks. i bought one of those dopplers when preg with emmett, i loved it, i didnt use it as much once i could feel him moving. only on quite days.

yay for being 18 weeks m2g - i was always panicky with Baylee because she didnt tend to move that much - more stretching than kicking - so I bought a doppler off trade me -was great when I was feeling extra nervous :)

Not much going on here - Baylee is back at daycare and doing really well. Think she may be getting a cold - my fault I have been trying to shake one for about 2 weeks now

Hi everyone! Sorry have not been able to post for yonks, can't login??!! Anyway usually read posts most days but have not been on in last few weeks so not up to date.
Just popping on to announce our latest arrival :)

Aria Elizabeth Kathleen born Friday 24th at 11.56 weighing 9lb3oz after 3.5hr labour - and I finally got a water birth!! All good so far really, very cruise compared with the boys. Some signs of reflux/intolerances but hoping its due to antibiotics she is on due to staph and strep infections - boys had tonsillitis when she was born! Great timing.

Hi everyone

Glad Baylee is getting better and her op went well.

Hope all the little sick ones are better now.

Great to hear all these second babies are behaving themselves.

Congrats on another little girl - notenufchaos.

Hope to hear some baby news soon Tara, wow your pregnacy has flown by, so has everyone's really.

Life is great hear, busy but great.  Just loving the two's, everyday seems to bring something new or really funny.  Love that they have a real bond now, so sweet to see them walking around holding each others hand, asking if they are alright.

My4b - your day seems like mine, flashes before your eyes.  All these kindy, school trips.  Great for the diet though.

Hi Ladies,

Hope Belle & Katie are feeling much better now. And yay for another girl notenuf - wow 19 weeks already, that has gone fast.
Kellz I hope your afternoon sickness goes away soon. I remember having that "yuck" feeling - not fun at all!

Ava sounds like she is doing really well.
We had plunker today for Baylee ( a little late) she has lost almost a kg since her operation due to not eating but that is okay she still has some to spare She is 12.5 kgs and 89cm so has dropped from 85th to approx 60th percentile so still well within the range. I am sure she is taller than that but it is really hard to get them to stand still against the wall to be measured

thank you for all your well wishes - Baylee is doing okay - she was doing really well for a few days but has gone a bit backwards in the past 2-3 days. It is quite normal apparently so not too worried. Have managed to get her to eat a bit today but she did have an ice block for breakfast Just taking it one day at a time - day 8 today - so at least another 6 days before she is "healed"
I have really loved being at home with her this week and going back to work on Monday is going to be super hard! And my house is never this clean during the week
Another week off daycare for her next week so hopefully by Friday she will be 100%

Congrats on the 3rd girl! Hard to believe u 19 weeks already!
Im almost 9 weeks now, feeling yuk quite a lot which I didnt with the other 2. I seem to have afternoon sickness. Cant wait til my first midwife appt in 3 weeks time, so excited to hear the heatbeat. Ava is doing well, im still waiting to hear from plunket nurse for Katie's check i know she is about 11 kgs and pretty tall hopefully she returns my call soon. she is sick at the moment the doctor thinks she has asthma so she is on inhalers and steroids.

In another news had my anatomy scan today and we are having another Girl, i expected to be disappointed but i am actually pretty happy about it.

Hi my4beauties - glad to hear that Ava is going well, Belle is also tall for her age but cant remember what she was at her 2 year check hehe

Lillis how is Baylee going? I hope she is picking up, I am sure she is tho

We have had a tough week - Belle very sick with some virus that made her have very high temperatures and fevers, she stayed on the couch for 3 days just laying there, was quite worrying but she is back to her full self just trying to fatten her up now as she didnt eat anything for about a week haha

Had our first session at PlayCentre today and it was very cool Belle loved it, we will definantly be going back.

hi girlies!

Had Ava's 2 year plunket check today, and Ava is 12.6kg and 92cm!  She's tall, but not as tall as R was at 2 yrs he was 99cm!  Haven't checked against the other kids weights and heights yet, so that'll be interesting to compare.

How are all the other 2 yr olds going?

Lillis, hope Baylee has settled down after her op!

Time for school pickups.  Seriously, where does the day go?!
