It was nice to relax and recover etc...and one thing I didnt realise til later was how much blood i had lost and also that Bubs was coming off morphine that I had been on....was nice to be in hospital for that and also for the first total sleepless night when the nurses came and took her, and then wrapped her in and kept checking on us. Also gave DH the chance to catch up on sleep before bubs arrived home...

We have amazing photos from delivery - we told specialist we wanted to take them and so he announced when she was about to be pulled out...still my favourite first photo EVER! and i didnt get to see her much til they had done apgar etc but DH kept on taking photos...which I didnt realise til later on...those are gorgeous to me also.

It depends on why you are having it, and how it all goes for you. Recovery is still harder, as it's a major operation.
I took a TV and sky decoder in with me. I found reading too difficult with all the painkillers.
Some OBs don't like photos of the actual operation and will allow full access for loads of the baby. Let them know what you want beforehand.
Good luck!
It went really smooth. I only used panadol for pain relief afterwards because I was afraid the morphine would make me ill and I really didn't feel like I needed anything else. I stayed for 5 days in total but only because my milk didn't come in so I was having major problems breastfeeding. I reckon I could have been out of there after 3 days. The first couple of days are hard. But I was up walking around, carrying babies & Showering the day after my c/section.

Jess took his camera and it was fine I have a bizillion photos of the inside of my stomach lol. I am hoping that being an elective instead of an emergency (and therefore not exhausted after days of labour, and healing from being hacked open in such a hurry) that my my recovery will be quicker, and that I can be back in the comfort of my own home/bed sooner.. With my crash section I went home on day 5, and we are hoping for me to be home by Sunday (c-section on Friday), or Monday morning at the latest... is that feasible?

Also... what do I need to take with me to hospital, since I wont need a 'labour bag' as such?

Oh and one more (I promise lol)
Were you able to have photos taken during the operation?
