Stacey has a pair and a snorkel and while he's looking under the water at his toys I get a lot of washing done! The sound he makes through the snorkel is hilarious - he tries to tell me things while its in his mouth.

Especially now we have a hose shower cos I can hold it close to her head and quickly wash it off. I let her froth the shampoo into her own hair, and then she washes her hnads and holds a flannel up over her eyes. Also at the mom ent we are only washing her hair about once a week cos its too cols to go to bed with wet hair, and its not getting dirty or yuk like in summer!
There is no way she will tip her haed back so less gets in her face, she just doesnt get it, and tips her head even more forward, lol, so I use my left hand to shield her forehead and use the hose to wash it off. Also she is better hwne we shower together and she gets to help do my hair.

We have been using the JJ all in one baby wash, but decided to move her onto shampoo for her hair. Even through it is no-tears she now HATES having her hair washed, as I think it must of once gotten into her eyes and hurt...so now she screams and climbs out of the bath if we tell we are going to wash her hair. We have now moved back to the baby body wash and gave up washing her hair for a couple of days and she sees a bit better (still not a fan of washing her hair, but at least she has stopped climbing out of the bath).

good luck- hopefully it is just a shortlived phase

    Author: KH25
Subject: 27020
Posted: 15 June 2009 at 9:39pm

Ashleigh has always been fine having her hair washed, whether in the shower or in the bath. For the last week or so, she gets hysterical when we try and rinse the shampoo out - it sounds like we are trying to murder her lol. I don't think anything has set it off although she does keep going on about the water on her face but she keeps dropping her head right down and screaming, and because we need to wash it out then she is getting water on her face. I'm not sure whether or not to push it and just do it, regardless of the fact that she seems really terrified or what? The other day I was using all my strength just to keep her in the shower as she was trying to get out and I had to take the shower hose off as I couldn't push her back into the water. Then tonight I tried a bath and she was trying to climb out, screaming her heart out I'm having trouble keeping my cool but I don't want to make the situation worse. Has this happened to anyone else and is it just a phase? (a short one hopefully!)
