SHE DID WEES IN IT!! I am sooo excited!! She did her "business" and stood up and went "Uh-oh Wee wees in Potty" so David and I made a big (happy) deal about it and I hastily made a sticker chart (which later she pulled the sticker off cause she wanted it on her hand)
She then started walking funny (and it was nearly her afternoon sleep) so I put her back on her potty and nothing so put her nappy on and 3 nappies later (full of #2's) she went off to bed!!
I think she is scared of #2's and she is starting to say "poo stink" so that will be my next mission (oh after she does some more #1's in the potty!)
Nikki - How much are those fun undies?? (going to go shopping next week for real undies.. not cheapie warehouse ones!!)

When he is at caycare they put him on the toilet there (it's so cute it's tiny) at nappy changes, and if he asks to go toilet. I introduced him to the potty in summer and he spent alot of time just sitting on it with pants on to get use to it. At the moment our struggle is doing number 2's in the toilet he won't do them at all.

I have been trying to put off the whole toilet training thing since I've got a new baby to deal with. And Alex is more than happy just to stay in nappies anyway....I just wish his fascination with the toilet would end! He likes to clean it, watch other people use it, flush it & he likes to put toilet paper in it (little bits or whole toilet rolls).
The one time Spencer actually put him on it though he fully freaked out.
All I can say is well done Hannah!

I have heard it is easier to TT girls than boys though....Is that true or a myth?

Edited by toniellis

We just got back from Oz tho so i think she's still catching up.

In all honesty, she TT herself. She took her nappy off at 22 mths and tried to climb on the toilet and that was that. I got a step, and a cheap plastic seatfrom Farmers. I just found I had to remind her to go or she wouldn't think about it, and I still do have to remind her when she is busy playing or else she will leave her run to late and end up weeing on the floor in fornt of the toilet coz she can't get her knickers off fast enough!

Maybe the weekend will bring a more co-operative child?!?!

On another note... Han was exhausted yesterday (the whingiest and most teary that I have seen her in a loooooooooooong time!) so I put her to bed early (about 6.40 when she usually goes to bed at 7.30pm) and fully expected her to either be out of bed and wide awake at 10pm or decide that it was morning time at 5am... but the little monkey slept until 7.30am! Must have needed the catch up sleep. Unfortunately that meant I was late to uni but who am I to say no to a sleep in?!?!

We brought Kobe this really cool seat that has a ladder attached and wee handles so when he needs to go he can grab it and put it on then climb up (with a little help ofcourse) he reads or brushes his teeth on the toilet but man are we going through toilet paper at the moment! Thankfully his preschool are really really good about toilet training and give heaps of hints and are willing to keep asking if they need ot go to the toilet so that helps. I bet once this baby is born though all this hard work will go "down the toilet" excuse the pun

Now Jake will have to do something equally cool to ctatch up. I have no idea how to go about TTin. At the moment jake likes to "observe" people on the loo (my mother's boyfriend gets a bit freaked), and sometimes helps by getting the paper. If he's very adventerous he will try and have a little look, but I try and discourage thins as I think it's creepy. I read however, that you should let your child observe your "toiletings" by leaving the door open and such. I feel that toilet is MY TIME! and doesn't need little hleping hands. Since then he has figured out how to do wees on the toilet but so far no poos although he has tried but he has been constipated so that didnt help. Ive been trying to put him in undies as much as possible but Im not really sure he is ready yet because unless we remind him he forgets, although only 3 accidents today so thats probably not to bad. Luckily his preschool are pretty good with tt so will see how he goes tomorrow. We brought a special seat with a ladder attached that he can climb up and he gets some "special lollies" when he goes but soon will start a star chart, it was more that I was taken unawares and didnt think he was ready for tt. Now its a bit of a pain though cos whenever i say im going he runs in to "his toilet" and has to go first, also he loves brushing his teeth on the toilet, not sure if thats particularly hygenic but it keeps him on there for a while. Good luck with Hannah
