Hi mtjt, gosh if I knew a definite way to lower FSH I'd be doing it with mine at 17!!! Apparently it can fluctuate every month.

When I was researching it there were some ads from the states about natural supplements etc but I didn't venture into it too much. Some people have said acupuncture can help too.

However my specialist is happy for me to do another round with my current FSH as I responded well (8 embryos) last time round, so I'm not too concerned at this stage.

They basically measure the levels of follicle stimulating hormones in your body. The more you have, the harder your body is having to work to produce eggs (i.e. the fewer eggs you have left to produce). from what I understand, levels higher than 15 are a problem, although under 10 is ideal. Hi there FSH ...best levels are 1-9 and they indicate ovarian reserves. However...at the same time they test estradiol so even if you have a low (good) score for FSH if your estradiol is high it might be masking a higher FSH level.

Higher levels of FSH indicate lower ovarian reserve, can't remember exact levels, mine where about 10 and my FS thought they were getting a bit high.

I think its a measure of "ovarian reserves", so indicates how many eggs are left, or perhaps how good the eggs that are left are. But I'm not sure exactly, and I can't help with whats a good level - I don't know if higher or lower is better even.
