I can't for the life of me remember exactly how my IVF cycle went but I know the entire cycle took 2 months. I was on the long protocol where I took birth control pills at the beginning of the cycle before going on to down regulate on buresilin. I remember I started on Oct 15th and had a BFP on Dec 15th. This was in 2006. I can only tell you about IUI, but I can tell you it happens really fast!

Once the doctor says - yep you can do IUI, it was like - start taking the Clomiphene on CD1 and it's all on! it seemed really quick after all those months of waiting to get appointments etc.

I have done one IUI, waiting for result. We are planning three IUI befor ethen trying IVF, so have not got the info on IVF yet.

If the IUI doesn't work, I just see it as one step further to getting our baby - as it sort of had to be done before IVF. And then if three IVFs fail, we ar ethen goign ot start the adoption process, but first we have to try all these things.

Ok so I am still weighing this all up - and want to understand time frames etc...for each procedure

If we do IVF what happens to kick it off and how long before that and the actual IVF procedure itself (the first one - not any subsequent ones)

If we do IUI - ditto? timeframes??

Do u go on meds for each one and then have to wait a period of time for those to work before having procedures done?

Im getting lost and swamped with info that crosses over etc...
