I always put a couple of drops of tea tree oil into the wash anyway (I grew up 15 minutes away from Thursday Plantation and had a tea tree lake 5 mins walk from my house)

I wash at 40 too cuppatea.. to me that is a "cold" wash LOL

Right next wash they are going in a hot wash with quite a few extra rinses. I did the tea tree oil and the extra rinsing and that seems to have worked.

I had that same problem. I tried stripping them and that didn't work so I unfortuantly had to soak them in nappysan and do a hot wash. I have been using Greens Gentle washing powder (http://www.mothersinstinct.co.nz/products/Washing-Greens-Gentle-Nappy-Wash-.html) from mothers instinct for the nappies. IT is basically, baking soda, knights casteel and some oils). Rinse them & rinse them & rinse them......

Coopers were the same & I must have done 8 rinses on them basically til the bubbles stop.

Spencer's nappies are real stinky. I have tried use dettol inwash and hanging them outside all day in the sun and overnight when there was a frost but they still stink.
They don't stink when I first put them on him but as soon as he does wees they stink and I have to check and see if he's done poos. Not sure if he is doing stinky wees or if it the nappies.

Any ideas?
