Did an experiment tonight and let her have a piece of wheat pasta, she ended up with terrible reflux. MIght have to get her tested.
We have a farmers market with some butchers who do fancy sausages etc so I'm going to see if they can make me some sulphate free, gluten, soy and lactose free ones. Boy, we really hit the jackpot with food intolerances!
Thank you so much for your advice, I think we'll have a very big shop next week!

You can also buy gluten free flours, healtheries make one, or some bakeries and organic shops sell it and there is also rice flour but that is pretty expensive.
There is a gluten free bakery in chch, maybe there is one in hamilton as well? although having said that, most breads have soy in but I dunno they might be open to making something specially for you.

Oh and I made rice pudding once with rice milk, it came out pretty yummy, should do that again actually. I just used a standard recipe and used rice milk instead. Rice milk is long life as well so I always bulk buy when it is on offer and I buy the vitasoy one that has added protein (it has chickpeas in it) and they also do one that has added calcium. Countdown seem to have them on offer quite regularly and I use rice bran oil.

Thank goodness for rice

It's really tricky because she is only 11mths old and only has 8 teeth so there are heaps of things she can't handle yet. The doctor suggested that we don't go anywhere near egg until she is tested or closer to 2years.
I found a rice porridge with dried fruit in it today which has a bit more texture than farex, I'm really want to provide the right nutrution and food challenges but it is so hard. Its funny I feel less confident with Isobelle than I was with Dominic and she is my second.

I think you can buy gluten free pasta.
You can buy rice bread, Spencer use to have that and didn't mind it.
There are some nice organic hummus and other dip/spreads that you can buy, there is a butternut squash one that is yummy and also one made from chick peas with indian spices that is delicious so those on corn thins (made from maize) or rice crackers etc is good. I think they are soy and gluten free as well as being dairy free. I'm all out otherwise I would have gone and checked.
Check out the organic shops as they sell heaps that is gluten free and often they are also soy and dairy free (expensive though, I spent $30 on 3 things today...ouch).
Avocado? Spencer won't touch the stuff.
Banana is quite filling.
Have you tried egg? or are you steering clear of that for a while longer?

She is lactose and soy intolerant and it looks as if she has either a wheat, yeast or gluten intolerance as well. It is almost impossible to find filling foods to give her, has anyone got any suggestions?
