I have one for night time use so if he wees too much (or poos out the thighs) I don't have to change clothes and all in the middle of the night.

Sometimes with newborns they can be mega wee'ers and may wet through the covers, if this happens then knitted soakers are great over the top of a bummis- and at nights if bubs sleeps through. you dont need wooly covers as well as bummis covers... My mum just asked if I needed her to knit woollen nappy covers for baby or if the nappies I have don't need them. I don't even know

I've got prefolds (I think - those white flat liners sewed into 3 sections - I'm so struggling with all the terminology here) with bummis covers. The bummis covers are all they need as an outer layer, right? Or do they need woolly things over that?
