During the day I just have one trifold (I use 1layer microfibre and 1 layer bamboo), and at night I use 2 trifolds. Not sure if that's the 'proper' way to do it, but that's what I do

    Author: FreeSpirit
Subject: 29827
Posted: 10 November 2009 at 7:55am

Trifolds (hemp or bamboo) are normally used for overnight use with microfibre on top - the microfibre is a fantastic sponge, and hemp (which is slower to absorb) has real holding power - so 6 layers of hemp or bamboo holds HEAPS of wetness, and doesn't let it out. . Hemp becomes quite stiff when it's waterlogged, which is one of the reasons it's better suited to night when mobility isn't an issue. I'm a late comer to the cloth nappy obsession, there are ladies with far more experiance who will be able to explain better than I, but I hope my answer helps in the meantime.
