I also have one of these and so far so good (baby only 6 months). It's great cause it store away flat so great for taking to other places. It has a gap between the metal bar and the table and I was wondering if those with older kids have problems with the food going down there? bother was wanting one of these, but just looked at their actual website which states
"Clamp depth to fit almost any bench or tabletop (18-50mm or 0.7-2” deep)"

Our table is 65mm deep - so im guessing thats a no :(

I have a me too and love it! Doesn't work on mum and dads table as they have a lip but worked great on ours.

We put it on the bfast bar at mum and dads so she can talk to us when cooking. It hasn't marked any of the tables.

She loves being in it and it is so sturdy.

DD in her chair slightly grumpy lol

The Me too is a great wee chair! And phil&teds have the next generation one coming out soon I think - it's called the lobster. Both have rubber pads on the arms to stop marks on the table. You could pop into smith city or baby city and take a look :)

Yeah I had no reservations about it not being safe. I doubt they would put it out there for sale if the manufacturers had any doubts that it wasn't a safe product.
I was a bit worried since the girls are 20 months old and roughly 15kg each that they wouldn't get to use it for long before they grew out of it but I guess by then they won't need them anyway. Plus I can always resell them on TM :)

Yep, from when they can sit unassisted (JJ was never in a highchair at all until he could sit unassisted anyway as we didn't start solids until after that). The Me Too has a bar across the front of the chair part which essentially holds it all together, that doesn't attach to the table itself, there are two clamps (one at either end of that bar) which are what holds it to the table. ETA - lisa, check the specs on that link too, max weight 18kg, and it has the range of thicknesses the seat will clamp to as well

We are looking at the 'me too' as well as we have a small living area. Can someone explain the thingy that is hooked on the table. Does it act as a plate or do you just ignore it? Also, at what age would you put a baby in here. I did look at the others and am still considering the anywhere chair but the only reason I had a preference towards the me too chair is it brings them up higher.
With the travel chair or wriggle wrapper they would be quite low. if you have enough chairs i would think it would be better to go with the ones that attach to the chairs. otherwise you will have to move chairs out of the way and possibly put them in storage if you have no room.

how bout an anywhere chair

i would be worried about the fact that there is no support on those other ones.

we have one too and we just love it.
i have a high chair for the dining room and use this attached the the kitchen bench so she can see me when i am getting dinner made and she has a snack. no marks left on any table that i have used them on as i take in the pram just in case we are at a restaurant or cafe that doesnt have a high chair.
you need to make sure you have a table that has 4 legs and not just a centre leg,

We have one - loove it - but it dosent fit our new table - we will have to get an extra bit of wood to make the table thicker as the nib that runs around the underside of the top is too close to the edge.(if that makes sense)
We did use it on our old table and Nanas too, and it hasnt left any marks.
Much much better for space and our girl loves to sit at the table with us!

We've got one - my MIL got it for us through fly buys after seeing my BILs kids using one. We love it. They're not easy to keep clean, is the only thing! It does have a little foam piece on the top so it doesn't scratch the table etc - you'd get more damage from the girls banging cutlery and crockery on the table.

How chunky/heavy is the table? If it's too light then esp if you have two MeToos on one side of the table there's a danger the table could tip, if the top is really thick then the MeToo clamp might not fit on!

Your other option is something inbetween, friends of ours had highchairs for their twins kinda like these ones and they work really well too. we have used one at Wagamama in Wellington and it was great. Sophie was about 16months (I think from memory) and she was very comfortable in it. I am not sure about the effects on the table though.

Oh - if you have flybuys they have them on there as a reward

ETA: just came to do a link for flybuys and they seem to have gone Hopefully they are just out of stock. Maybe check it again again in a week or two

Hey girls!

So We are finally getting a new dinning room table and chairs but since we have a small space to work with I'm thinking about selling our two highchairs and investing in the me too chairs or maybe a couple of those traveling high chair seats that you strap to your dinning chairs to save space.

Has anyone tried the me too chair? I had never heard of it before today but it looks ideal! I love that it brings them right up to the table.
