I have a Respisense (Ditto where you change the battery yourself) and I bought it in NZ (realize this is an old thread). I got it online from Scarecrow farms (they have a TradeMe shop as well as a website) and they also sell the batteries (about $15-20). yip, it works perfectly. Not too worried about the battery cos I emailed the ozzy place that make them and they said easy to change, plus i only plan to use it for a few months until #1 frees up her anglecare (using til she is two). Just figured a baby who is any older than this will start pulling the respisense off anyway. that was the other thing about respisense - couldn't find a NZ distributor if I need a replacement battery, whereas there is one or two places in NZ that sell them and the batteries are about $20 which isn't too bad. thats good to know cos I was concerned about the cloth nappies being too thick. We bought ours off TM for about $70, and it has well over half of its battery life left - so you might pick up a bargain that way? how about a Respisense monitor? I realise this is an old post, but did you ever find out more about the Snuza and how good it is?
