I used to think I'd want a big family but now all I can see is 4 of us. It just seems right!

Finally going back to work 3 days a week as of Monday which will hopefully help speed things up a bit as I am very bored at home and my tiredness has turned into laziness which I don't think I can fully blame on the pregnancy lol. Off to Germany in 4 weeks again which will be nice too 

Makes it a bit tricky when driving somewhere, especially on the motorway 

But I assume she will learn to hold on a little longer? I am yet to 'test' how long she can hold on ...

Feeling very tired at the moment but not sure if it's the heat or the little human being growing in me that makes me so tired 

 

I havent done Millas 2 yearold plunket check. Was looking at my old plunket book - SO MUCH MORE THOROUGH than Milla's !

 

Midwife appointment tomorrow YAY will get to hear baby's heart!

 

Not much hope this time around anyway as husband was away when I think I ovulated. Wait and see I guess. 

Getting xmas presents sorted and not really sticking to my plan of only getting a couple of things! Oh well 

No work tomorrow so am going to pull out some decorations! I don;t think E has any idea who Santa is so I have no idea how she will react when she sees one.

Oh I remember how hot I was when feeding. I think I lived topless for weeks cause there was just no point putting one lol

All good here. E has a suspected case of Rubella so no daycare tomorrow. She's been a nightmare over the weekend and earlier this week but we've had perfect days for the past two days so all good. Her stupid molar is still sitting just below the skin so that isn't helping either. Nappies are FOUL. Once that one is here there are still 3 more to go. 

The questions have started here. "What's this?" for anything she hasn't seen or doesn't know what it is and "Who was that?" for anybody that calls or any stranger I speak to when out and about. Funny the first few times but it's loosing the cuteness factor pretty damn fast!

 

Perfect then, positives to winter baby :D

 

Been to the zoo this morning, I AM ZONKED!  Evidently so was Milla she is asleep already (going to be a looooooooooong afternoon)

Milla loves her radio flyer, she can get on and off by herself but cant quite reach the pedals - oh well shes sure to grow soon anyway!

She got so many fantastic presents for her birthday in particular from friends which has given me lots of ideas for future presents!

The trend was ELC toys they certainly have some good things there.

 I am really enjoying this age with Milla, she seems to entertain herself so well these days, uses words to communicate well and these put together just makes llife a wee bit easier!

 

Feels quite odd knowing im having a winter baby - I guess i can just stay indoors a lot but I did really like being out and about in the sun when Milla was only a few weeks old!

Brentons predicted a boy for this bub, he was right from the beginning last time, I kept chopping and changing.  It would be much easier if we have a boy because we wont have any name arguments haha.

 

 

 

 

 

My next project is finding a beach house to rent on the cheap for a weekend in late feb - dad just got made redundent and each year they take us on holiday for a couple of weeks - they can't do it this year because money is going to be tight so my brother and I have decided to at least hire a place for a weekend for us all (6 plus Milla).  Does anyone know of anyone who has a place driveable from Auckland?  We are trying to do something nice but then we are both tight on money ourselves! Hopefully we find something!

 

Lorna it will get better - but I can imagine how testing it is at the moment. Keep your chin up :D

Thanks, I was super happy with how it all turned out. The icing was just a cream cheese icing. Had way too much icing sugar in it though (for my liking anyway)

The kitchen is a hit (although initially the balloons where much more interesting lol)

Taking E to Kelly Tarltons today as a birthday weekend treat. I haven't been there in about 12 years.

Here is our kitchen. Minus the tap still. We will need to do that next week sometime as I ran out of time today. I've been cooking and baking like a lunatic today!

She also is getting a room makeover but thats more my project than a birthday present! We did Kitchen last year and she LOVES it so I am sure all your kidlets will too!

Just screwed the handle on and I am very happy with it. Totally forgot to buy a tap though. They are so expensive! Will go back to the demolition yard tomorrow and have another look for something cheap.

 

I'm not working tomorrow and E is at daycare so I will have all day to cook and bake, I am really looking forward to it.

 

We are building her a kitchen out of a converted bedside table and I have to add some finishing touches to it tonight then that is all ready to go too. We are keeping it quite simple with presents. It's the kitchen and some accessories, a book and a cutlery set (she has taken to using a spoon and fork like we use knife and fork so I got her a set which is knife, fork and spoon) Mum's parcel arrived yesterday so we really are all set.

Man my child can eat. We are doing lunch atm. So far she's had a toasted wrap filled with cheese, frozen peas, apple, blueberries, raisins and two date& almond balls and she is still asking for more...

Gosh I just LOVE long weekends. Another whole day together tomorrow  Stunning day yesterday and we got heaps done around the house and garden. A wee bit wet today so we had a lazy one. Just been out for dinner with friends and E has just gone to bed. Our bedtimes are all out of whack atm. She went down for a sleep at 4pm yesterday and we woke her at 6.15pm. Then went out to visit friends and she lasted till after 11.30pm but was still up at 8am this morning. Wonder when it's catching up on her. Probably Tuesday when Daddy is back at work...

We are still waiting for the last 4 molars here, but she is such a slow teether I think we'll be waiting for a while yet.

No help on the talking front either. I think E has way more than 50 words too. In German definitely, not sure about English though. It does sound like your GP might be a wee bit too proactive though. But yeah follow your Motherly instincts, they are always right! Good luck.

Words - Can't help you, Milla is quite developed at her talking according to Kindy and I would say she has well over 50 words - BUT she was an incredibly slow crawler / walker and although everyone said "Don't worry she will get there" I couldn't help but worry.  I am now on the other end of that with a very confident walker/runner and I can totally see what people meant by saying "Don't worry she will get there".  In saying that, I think being proactive or aware of it is very important too. Educate yourself and you may find some suitable methods to encourage her learning.  Good luck.

House full of sick here, Croup for Milla, a flu for me and a sore throat for Brenton (and temperature). Needless to say it isnt the most enjoyable long weekend!

My work are still unorganised as always and I am doing it week by week atm depending on how much work they have for me. So far it has still been at least 2 days a week, so we see how it goes. 

I love how easy they are entertained and how much they enjoy things on repeat! E has just taken care of a whole load of nappies. She took them of the clothesline, put them in the washing basked and and the pegs in the peg basked. I love my little house keeper!

Can not believe they will be 2 so very soon! This second year has been SO much fun
