I'm stunned by that video but so glad the baby is okay. There are genes linked to addictions like alcoholism, though. I did a research project on it last year. Really interesting.

No its not linked to alcoholism as such. I think some of it has to do with the fact that they can't physically process it properly not neccessarily because of their social skills.

I post on another site that is based in Australia and there was a thread there sometime last year regarding processing alcohol and one woman being part aboriginal or her partner said that it had been researched. Having been up Nth Qld & with DH having lived there, I have seen revolting behaviour, but in this case I chose not to voice my opinion as it will always be seen as being racist. It sounds really harsh I know, I'm not a rascist person, but if you've been to the top end and witnessed the way that the abo's behave after a few drinks, you would understand. It is one of those crimes against humanity, the native people there have never been allowed to fully imerge with the rest of society, and because of it the majority lack social skills.
