I've been properly TTC for just over 3 months now, kinda half trying for a few months before that as well and not trying / not properly preventing for the last year or two slowly getting more lax about it. My partner and I have been together for about 8 1/2 years (I'm just about 26 and he is 27)and I have been charting BBT (originally for preventing) for about 4 - 5 years now and was on the pill for about 3 years before that.

I think you should watch "The Great Sperm Race" documentary. You can find it on You Tube. It took a year for my to get normal regular cycles and start ovulating reliably. Some people get pregnant immediately after stopping. Hi Kristina. If you're talking about the birth control pill, then it can take anywhere from 1 mth to 1 yr to get regular cycles and start ovulating again. Changes a lot from person to person! Well I'm back to TTC again. Had my d&c yesterday and from all appearances it went perfectly. Seeing my doc next week to organise a few extra tests and ask what I should do next time I get a BFP!

Am coping ok just focussed on getting on with life and my attitude is that everything that can will happen to me when it comes to fertility so that's that.
Talked to specialist today who said I can wait or go for a d&c whenever I felt like it. So I've pretty much decided to get through this week and go on Monday which will be school hols then I've got a couple weeks to myself without work. I had two complete miscarriages (where I just started bleeding). I also had one when my bub passed away but we didn't know, requiring a D&C. I found the complete ones more traumatic I think, maybe because of the bleeding. With the other one, our hospital team wasn't fantastic and kept putting off the D&C "just in case" and it dragged out for way too long, and the lady who was supposed to support me through it, was very chirpy and happy, while being quite dismissive of my emotional issues. I think as long as you have someone personally and someone medically supportive, it can make a world of difference.

It's tough not being able to get checked out until you've had two or three losses. I have PCOS and my body just wasn't making enough progesterone, so I struggled to get UTD for a while, and then keep miscarrying due to low progesterone. They gave me supplements and then Evie stuck. I also have a funky shaped uterus. Yeah I've been told it's different to unexplained infertility though. Apparently unexplained miscarriages is better than explained (mostly). More likely to (eventually) have a succesful pregnancy if it's unexplained. Hi BC. So sorry to hear that. I was holding out hope. I wrote you a message in the 12month thread about what to expect. Unfortunately I have had all 3 methods of miscarriage so have a bit of an idea.

I'm Unfortunately in a similar boat myself. Scan yesterday showed baby the size of 5weeks and no heartbeat when I should have been 6.5weeks. I have another scan Tuesday to confirm all is lost. I'm not being hopeful at all. I'm absolutely positive when I ov'd and my BFP was timed perfecty with ov so there is no way I'm 10days out. Absolutely devastated that this will be my 3rd miscarriage. I'm 26, normal weight, eat well, with no medical problems, exercise regularly, don't smoke/drink/do drugs and am taking my prenatal vitamins like I should. Just doesn't seem fair when you think of it like that.

Right that's enough woe is me. Time to buck up and look at the good things in life!!! Hey girls. Unfortunately was confirmed today that's baby wish is still just a wish. Found out last week we were expecting twins but they didn't have heartbeats went back today to see if anything had changed and it hasn't so I will lose them. Lost my sh*t a bit last week but ok today much to my mothers surprise. Glad to know so I can move on.
Any advice on dealing with mc or what to expect would be welcome. Although knowing my luck it won't happen naturally and there'll be that drama to go through too. Well kelz it's not such great news here.
Hcg was 16 yesterday so neither pregnant nor not preg according to the nurse. Repeat bloods Saturday but I started bleeding tonight so it's over. Reading online I would've (and did) class myself as pregnant - obviously something worked and I had a lot of symptoms however trying to not get too fixed on that if it makes sense. Was absolutely gutted yesterday when I found out and has the whole 'why can't it just be simple' woe is me going on. Better today, just want answers and an idea of what next. Thanks so much girls AF has still not arrived. Tested this afternoon. Potentially a bfp! Faint line showed around 10min mark and was stronger about 30mins later when I looked again. Not convinced 100% that it's not an evap. Pic on ttc 12mths thread. Hugs nzvegie! Reaching a year is one of the harder milestones for sure. Honestly by the time I hit 4 years I hardly even acknowledged it because well I just found it SO ridiculous we were still trying. You've also had your fair share of crap with two bfps that haven't progressed. I think if I had to go through that I would lose my mind.

I have my fingers crossed that this is the embie for you BC!!!

AFM - I am coming up to ov next weekend so all stations will be go throughout this week. Really hoping to get a BFP as it's going to be a year TTC in May and I think that's a milestone that will mess with my head (and I know that it's nowhere near as long as you have waited BC or you other ladies).
Obviously getting the BFP isn't a part I struggle with. I've only had 5 cycles in the past year and 2 BFP's but my work friend who was due same time as me is now 31 weeks pregnant and I'm starting to find it harder and harder to see her. Lucky for me she goes on maternity leave next week!

Anywho - sorry for the rant. Not sure where that came from. I am trying to take a much more relaxed approach this month. Still tracking everything but trying not to obsess in my head. Hi babycrazy..

just found out my work mate is pregnant.. thats two now.. thinking its my turn! Decided on giving ovulation testing a go.. this is month one and I'm due for AF in ten days so we will see.. still only into my 4th month so not stressing too much. Have had 2 close friends have babies in the last few weeks and I'm a thousand times cluckier haha.

Hi Zoe - I have PCOS and put on 10 kgs after coming off the pill (and then more when I got pregnant). What I've learnt since then is pcos and insulin resistance are part of the same bundle, so watching carb intake is a must in order not to put on weight. Exercise is also really helpful with lowering insulin resistance and thus fighting the flab. Doesn't sound cool at all Zoe. I can't remember if I put on weight but I definitely stopped feeling so tired! In fact I've never felt better since stopping the pill so am stoked I won't be going back on it. Hope it's not pcos although I've got a friend with it and she has got two lovely kids both easily made. Thanks guys. Transferred a early blastocyst on Saturday. No frosties. Hugely disappointed that we had 9 fertilised eggs and nothing left to freeze. Just gotta hope that the one they put back is THE ONE! Blood test will be Monday, but I'm sure I will POAS before then. Never been much for holding out.

Really hoping this is our time.
