To be honest, I didn't even do anything to help it not hurt and I don't remember it hurting much except when we went over bumps (and the road home is crappo so lots of bumps). I sat in the backseat so i could watch bubs but he slept all the way anyway hehe.
I think I had a pillow in the back with me but mostly used it to rest my arms on...didn't even think about having anything between me and the seatbeat!

I put B and his capsule on the back drivers side so I didnt have to twist as much to check on him. Make sure you have everything you need in front with you, or sit in the back so you can tend to baby, get stuff out of bags as and when needed without moving around too much. Mine was a bit more difficult as I had a large abcess under the wound that decided to vent itself halfway up the Bombays, so we had to find an emergency medical centre that would be open on Xmas eve!

Oh and you'll need to have room to spread your legs a bit, so your tummy isnt being pushed up by the top of your legs. That can get quite painful after a while!
