We get this all the time at preschool! Especially once girls get to about 3 years old.

we had same issues at DC about a month or so ago - apparently her BFFs were no longer her friends either...I mentioned to DC teacher as bubbas words were breaking my heart. The teacher cracked up ....apparently madame is THE centre of attention and gives as good as she gets in the "im not your friend" category...but she did say she would watch it and tell them to be friends...AND awesome teacher she is - she did two friendship circles on 2 days following where they tell each other they are their friends etc ....NICE and it worked!

Thanks guys, yeah I'm sure Ashleigh will be the one saying it in the future, I just know that right now she wants to be everyones friend lol but I'm waiting for it to change! I did hear her playing with her barbies the other day and heard the whole "you're not my friend" blah blah exchange going on, that's how I knew someone had said it to her otherwise she wouldn't even think of saying something like that!

I agree with Bizzy ,and for your reassurance , get the teachers to keep an eye on it .

AHhh ,the joys of girls! at around four they start the whole "your not my friend anymore " tbh , your daughter may end up doing it as well , I always said C wouldn't be a girl who did that , nearly fell off my chair the day I heard her say to another little girl "I don't like you , you aren't my friend anymore ! "

A couple of times this week, Ashleigh has come home and told me about another girl being mean to her. She is saying things like you're not my friend, I don't like you and you're not nice etc. Ashleigh has been telling me very matter of factly and it doesn't seem to be upsetting her but I'm not sure if it is upsetting her when it is actually happening. I've told her the normal things, just stay away from her and play with your friends etc or if she is really upsetting you then go and tell a teacher. Ash is a very friendly girl and would play with anyone but only if they approach her first so she definately wouldn't be starting this or doing anything mean to this other girl. I realise this is all a normal part of young children playing (still heartbreaking though, especially as this is the first time anything like this has happened and I wanna go slap this horrible little girl lol!!). So my question is, should I just leave it like that and keep checking with Ash if it is happening or should I have a quiet word to the head teacher about it?
