Yes I was reading somewhere that because bamboo is a natural fibre it won't smell but man made fibres will get smelly. Very interesting you mention this-all our microfibre nappies (fuzzibunz & nudey rudey) are a bit smelly, but our ittis (which are bamboo) are not at all smelly.

I have only stripped my pockets once (because I was using the wrong stuff to wash them) and they came out all fluffy, soft and lovely smelling.
I haven't needed to strip them again since changing from laundry powder to liquid.
