    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="https://www.ohbaby.co.nz/forum/member_profile.asp?PF=21186">Chickaboo</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 32333<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 17 March 2010 at 11:02pm<br /><br />A friend made this for us after I had Elodie and its been a family favourite since so thought I would share:<br /><br />BBQ Meatloaf<br />500gm beef mince<br />400-500gms sausage meat <br />1 chopped onion<br />1 dessertspoon curry powder<br />1 egg<br />1 cup of fresh breadcrumbs<br />1T chopped parsley<br />Salt and pepper<br />½ cup water<br />½ cup milk<br /><br />Combine 1st 8 ingredients in a bowl. Beat until well combined. Gradually add milk and water – continue missing until the mixture is very smooth. Smooth into a greased dish, cover and bake at 180 degrees for 30 minutes. Remove from oven<br /><br />Sauce<br />½ cup water <br />2T vinegar<br />½ cup brown sugar<br />1t instant coffee<br />½ cup tomato sauce<br />¼ cup of Worcester sauce<br />25gm butter<br />2T lemon juice<br /><br />Combine all ingredients into a saucepan. Bring to the boil and simmer for 5 minutes.  Pour over meatloaf. Return meatloaf to oven and bake further 45-60 minutes until caramelised. Baste frequently with sauce while cooking.<br />]]>
