You poor thing, so tiring

Callum was still ready for a nap around 9am when he started transitioning to one day sleep but we managed to stretch it out a little bit each day over about a week I think it was. He goes down any time between 10am - 11.30am now and will sleep for up to three hours (so actually not much less sleep in total than before) but because he's up longer in the afternoon he's way tireder at bedtime which seems to help him get a good night's sleep. The days he has two day sleeps now he will generally stay up at least 30 mins later and wake up earlier too.

After about 10 days he just stopped. Still two sleeps a day, and he def needs them.

Sorry, not too much help here!

Campbell has been waking early lately too, around 6am when he normally wakes around 7am. I thought it was DH getting up that was waking him, but DH always gets up at that time. He's been alternating a bit lately between 1 and 2 day sleeps, and funnily enough he's been having 2 mostly lately. Maybe he is ready for just 1 day sleep?
Author: Bel
Subject: 33098
Posted: 26 April 2010 at 2:45pm

Argh - Amy has started waking at around 4.30am nearly every morning and now I am getting tired and really sick of it. It doesn't appear to be related to DLS as it has only been about 2 weeks...

Trouble is that she wakes Luke too - so we have 2 tired kids on our hands.

I have tried making sure she is warm enough and tucking her back down, wrapping her to settle her, giving a bottle - but nothing seems to make any difference. She seems to think it is time to wake up...

We are reasonably happy to leave her to cry, but she still doesn;t settle back to sleep so that doesn't really achieve anything. I don't get her out of bed before 6am.

Help! Any other ideas??
