I was told it was normal too. Stress & anemia got to me & I went to ob/gyn, he prescribed me provera for 12days, stopped bleeding, then when script finished bleeding started- it only lasted for 5 days & *tmi* contained bits of placenta etc, then it was all over. 6 wks later I ov'd & now I'm due Nov. Don't put up with any prolonged bleeding, please. The "retained products" can act like an IUD, making a bfp near impossible.

I ended up in hospital with huge blood loss but sent home the next day. Today I had to go for a scan as I am still bleeding lightly. I have now been told that I need a D&C.
I am so annoyed that everyone kept telling me everything was fine and normal when it so wasnt.
I would tell everyone to get checked if you are unsure of anything at all.
I hope this isn't the case for you, but a scan showed I had retained placenta, and I had to go in for a D&C. After that I stopped bleeding and my cycle came back about 6 weeks later. Big hugs.

Apparently this often occurs as your body considers m/c as AF so goes back into cycle.
So sorry to hear of your loss. I hope you and your family have lots of loving support
MB

At 2 weeks it had slowed so much I thought it was about to stop, then it started up again.

It's done that to me again but this time I have some cramps. I was just wondering, could it be AF even though I've still been bleeding a bit, or should I be worried?

I would swear that I've had pms symptoms over the last few days and this afternoon the bleeding went from just a little bit to, "I think I had better change my pad."
It's not bright red, its an old blood colour, and it doesnt smell bad.

Could it be AF?
