Yes, ureaplasma. I too had it and DH and I went on 2 courses of AB's before it cleared.

The premise of ureaplasma is that it can cause miscarriages and possibly failed implantations, and it's worthwhile getting it treated just in case. On the other hand, a number of the fertility places don't look into it as some women have it and manage to conceive.

I looked at it from the 'let's do as much as we can' to prepare for our transfer and throw everything and the kitchen sink at it (we have used our last frozen emby).

Definitely get DH onto the AB's when you do - it can be spread from one to the other ..... Good luck for your next cycle

I finally got tested after numerous phone calls back and forth to my GP's nurse who was unfamiliar with it and got results today . . . high levels of ureaplasma were detected so I am going to be going on antibiotics and will be making an appointment at the GP for DH as I have read that you need to be treated in unison. Does anyone know how/why this bacteria can cause fertility problems? Now that I have tested positive for high levels I am more curious as to what it actually is? Thanks in advance!
