tee hee I have had the same 15 nappies and 5 wraps since DS was 6mths when we started (two this month). The tots bots bamboozles work for us so well I've never been tempted to buy more.

I only have 15 nappies for Taylah, but i use huggies at night still, and occasionally disposables if we go out. Haha Karen, I have lavender covers for H and everyone always hassles me for getting him girly naps! Meh.

Oh, and I got size small bummis wraps and prefolds and they fitted H from 3.6 kgs (8lbs I think). They also have newborn ones that would fit from around 2.5 kgs.

lol I know what you mean but no way would you save $$ over the years using sposies even if you went mental like I did with cloth. Almost every single one of mine are second hand from TM and great bargains...plus I'll be using them for baby number two. PLUS we don't *just* use cloth to save $$...its much better for the environment and IMO much better for baby.... sposies (even eco ones) have some nasty things in them that I don't really want next to my baby's genitalia!

Far out! Why on earth do you all need so many! lol I think I have something like 12 OSFA's haha and I thought I was an addict! lol How wrong was I!
12 is more than enough for us. Do one wash each night then hang them on the clothes horse under the heatpump and they are dry by morning. Karen I used prefolds for Ty til bout 3 months too and they were brill. I recommend a snappi though!

Is the dry bars rack like a clothes horse but it heats up? think i saw one advistered on tv last year.
We dnt have a dryer so use a clothes horse by the fire when its raining.

Karen, yup I just fold them into a rectangle and into a bummis wrap - they were actually brilliant when H was tiny (up to about 4 months actually) and dried super quick, even in winter. SpecialK- whe you use prefolds do you just kind of fold them into a rectangle and then pop a cover over the top? I didn't include my prefolds or flat naps in my OP lol....cos I only really use them for drop cloths!

With this next one though I'm quite keen to use flats cos they dry 1 million times quicker than AIO's and pockets!!!

If I count all the diff sizes, then probably around 60 nappies... but most of them are prefolds.

I have about 17 in current use plus 6 prefolds which I don't really like using now that he is so big.

For those of you ladies struggling with drying, we have bought a dry bars rack last year and it is seriously the best thing! Seriously, I don't think it matters if you have too many, esp in winter. The way we work it, the nappy stacker is generally  half full, one lot is in the wash or drying and the other is in the nappy bucket waiting to be washed . Plus during times like this when bubba is sick, one needs a few more nappies IYKWIM!

I've got 15 ittis +5 extra inserts,
a totsbot,
a bitti boo,
a pop in,
a nudey rudey,
a pea pod,
a bummis cover + fitted+ prefold.

Think that's it so 21 + extra inserts.   I think I want to get a couple more covers now and I could do with another days worth of nappies as I've been using the drier a lot recently as they're just not drying fast enough. A hire kit is a good idea...although we just bought a whole pile of differnt types off TM and figured out from them what worked well for us and Clodagh. We then sold what didn't work and pretty much got our money back! Yes I am going to use MCNs but I want to try the hire kit before committing to a particular type or brand.

That's why I've got a lot of sposies for the first couple of weeks before the kit arrives.

I just bought *cough* 11 *cough* more nappies today off TM...but in fairness I got a BARGAIN and they're for the newborn so I think I'll do what a few of you do and just count the sizes seperately cos then it sounds better lol.  So Clodagh only actually has about hmmmmm 25 that fit her at the moment

Wow, I can't believe how many nappies you guys have!

I have 15 one size fits all, and five med ittis (have fitted DS for a year now)That's it and I have no plans to ever get more except if we end up with two in nappies. I only wash them ever third day, but we do have a great fire that dries them overnight if need be.

Crikey, if you guys are sometimes running low, can I just ask how many nappies a day your child uses? We don't use that many as DS spends most of his up time with a bare bottom.

We have heaps.. but we dont have a drier and if there is a few days of rain I sure do end up running low *gulp*

I have......lets just say I have quite a few. But no way am I counting all the different sizes together! I know!!!  Quite a few are small/newborn size and the rest kind of came with bundles of nappies on TM. It's really useful having so many covers cos I guess we wash them quite a bit?

Ok so I haven't counted cos I'm too embarrassed  but we must have in the region of 80 nappies or so! And at least 20 covers!  Not all of them fit Clodagh anymore so I feel somewhat justified in keeping them now we have number 2 on the way, and there's a few Nature baby toddler and Happy heinys sz L that are too big...but she'll grow into lol.

Is that too many though? I'm sure we could get away with less but DF and I seem to have a nappy habit lol and its quite scary how low we seem to run if we have a couple of days of bad weather and can't do the washing!

Anyone else care to admit their addiction?
